Tottenham Hotspur Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of October 27

Sunday's astonishing display against Newcastle United casts the situation in a new light. Spurs capitulated in a way that cannot even be described as "classic Spurs."
Now Mauricio Pochettino's attention must shift to finding new players to replace the ones that have proven to be out of their depth.
Once thought to be a position of strength, Spurs' midfield has come under greater scrutiny and a link to a World Cup winner will excite their fans.
This article will be updated throughout the week as new rumours come to light.

Jay Rodriguez Linked Once Again

Perhaps the most common transfer rumour of the season has returned once more. According to the Telegraph Spurs are keen to add Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez in the January transfer window.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is familiar with Rodriguez from his own time at Southampton and is keen to add strike power in wide areas. Rodriguez is also capable of playing centrally, another area of weakness in Spurs' squad.
Rodriguez is still recovering from his cruciate ligament injury but, assuming he fully recovers, would be a handy addition to Spurs' attack. Familiar with Pochettino's style of play and a regular scorer, Rodriguez would make Spurs a more balanced and effective team.
The England forward posted on his own website in August that his recovery is progressing well.
Spurs Moving for Kramer?

Borussia Monchengladbach's Christoph Kramer is a fantastic young player. Cerebral yet tough enough to handle himself in the frenetic midfields of the Premier League, Kramer would be a fantastic addition to almost any team.
According to the Sunday People, (h/t Metro), Spurs have scouted Kramer on three occasions and are ready to make their move.
Kramer is actually owned by Champions League side Bayer Leverkusen, so it would likely take a significant fee to dislodge him.
His impressive start to the season is one of the main reasons why Monchengladbach are currently equal second in the Bundesliga, a significant fee would be easily justifiable for Spurs.
Bundesliga expert Cristian Nyari describes the player's tendency to anticipate and position himself ahead of the play. Spurs have lacked such a player since Luka Modric's departure for Madrid.
If Tottenham were able to bring in Kramer, their midfield options would be significantly upgraded.
