Updates from Wednesday, Oct. 22
Loic Remy is hoping to hand Chelsea a major boost by recovering from his groin injury in time to face Manchester United on Sunday.
Remy is quoted saying by Sky Sports:
"It was a bit stiff, and I didn't feel very comfortable. That's why I prefer to come off, if I'm not feeling very good it's better to leave for another player who is 100 percent.
We will see with the scan. I really hope it is not too bad. Fortunately I stopped playing because I felt something. I don't think it is too bad but I felt something. My groin.
[...] It is a huge game but every game is tough. Especially this one because it is a big game against a good opponent but I will try to recover as quickly as possible.

Chelsea's Loic Remy injured himself scoring the Blues' opening goal in their UEFA Champions League fixture against Maribor, and he was forced to leave the pitch after just 15 minutes to be replaced by veteran Didier Drogba.
The club's Twitter feed shared the news:
Rob Harris of the Associated Press provides comments from Jose Mourinho, who spoke about Remy's status following the match:
Remy controlled the ball on the right side of the box and made a double cut inside, creating space for a beautiful shot that found the bottom corner. Instead of explosive celebrations, the France international immediately signaled to the bench, indicating he couldn't continue with what appeared to be a groin problem.
As shared by Sky Sports' Pete O'Rourke, another injury to his attacking unit is the last thing Mourinho needs:
Diego Costa returned from international duty with an injury, and he appears unlikely to return to health in time for the Blues' clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
If Remy is forced to spend significant time on the sidelines, Mourinho will be left with the 36-year-old Drogba, who has a wealth of experience but is no longer the explosive athlete he once was.
