Real Madrid Transfer News: Carlo Ancelotti Rules out Cristiano Ronaldo Move
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is convinced star forward Cristiano Ronaldo will retire in the Spanish capital, as he told The Sun (h/t Sky Sports) ahead of his team's UEFA Champions League meeting with Liverpool.
The former Chelsea boss was interviewed about his days managing in England, where he explained how he loved the Premier League and that he would like to return one day.
The conversation inevitably turned to the future of Ronaldo, and Ancelotti made it very clear what he thought about reports he could move to Manchester United:

"Ronaldo is now the best player in the world and it means Madrid lose the best player which is a huge loss. But this won't happen because Ronaldo will go to the end of his career at Real Madrid. I'm 100 per cent certain he will be here next season, not at Manchester United – 100 per cent.
"
Ronaldo previously told reporters he wished he could go back to the Red Devils one day, as reported by the Daily Mail's Riath Al-Samarrai:
"I love Manchester.
Everyone knows that — I have said it many times. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.
I am happy here in Real Madrid and have four more years, but in the future you never know because they treated me unbelievably there.
I really did love being at Manchester United. Believe me, they will be a good team again, I'm sure of it. It is a great club.
"
A transfer during the January window always seemed impossible, and even a move at the end of the current campaign appears highly unlikely. Los Blancos have dominated La Liga in recent weeks, as Ronaldo is breaking scoring records by the handful.
Via the club's official website, he is now the only player in league history to score 15 goals through eight matches despite only playing in seven. Real have ridden his incredible form to five consecutive wins in La Liga, via WhoScored.com, and are once again favourites to win multiple trophies this season.
It would be difficult for any player to walk away from such a perfect situation, and English fans will hope the 29-year-old may be ready for a new challenge should Los Blancos have another great campaign.

It may be too soon to make definitive statements about where the forward will retire although the combination of his phenomenal ability and marketability means Real will likely do whatever they can to keep him around for as long as possible.
Teammate Gareth Bale made it clear how the players feel about the Portugal international, as reported by Goal.com's Mark Doyle.
"He's obviously a player we wouldn't want to see leave," Bale said. "Of course I want to see him stay at Real Madrid. He's shown what a world-class player he is year after year scoring the goals he has."
A romantic reunion with the club that moulded him into the global superstar he is today would seem like the perfect ending to a wonderful career, but according to Ancelotti, it won't happen.
Instead, the Blancos manager believes he'll end his career with the historically greatest club in European football and the one he won La Decima with last year. For one of the sport's biggest-ever stars, such a finish seems equally fitting.
