LeSean McCoy, Darren Sproles' Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 6
After three weeks of fantasy misery, Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy finally exploded for quality production in a Week 6 Sunday Night Football win over the New York Giants.
Meanwhile, fellow backfield member Darren Sproles also posted his best game in as many weeks as the two combined for eye-popping numbers against a New York defense that entered Sunday allowing the ninth-most points to backs:
| L. McCoy | 22 | 149 | 6.8 | 0 | 2 | 5 | 2 | 14 | |
| D. Sproles | 7 | 39 | 5.6 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 4 | 9 |

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
As ESPN Stats & Info notes, Shady brought forth his best for the NFC East clash on prime time:
That makes three trips into the realm of double digits for McCoy in six games, whereas Sproles' explosiveness has generated just two contests with that sort of production.
The speedy Sproles is a threat to score every time he touches the football, which makes him worth a nod in most leagues as a flex option regardless of matchup. With that said, it hurt to see his number of targets go to waste in the passing game.
Sproles is also a name to watch on a day-to-day basis moving forward after leaving Sunday night's contest with an injury, per Larry Hartstein of CBSSports.com.
Like it or not, McCoy is a matchup-proof option despite his up-and-down play this season simply because of how costly he was for owners to obtain and his propensity to explode as he did against the Giants.
Besides, the matchups the rest of the way are not brutally difficult, minus a few tough encounters around fantasy playoff time:
| 7 | BYE | |
| 8 | @Ari | 5 (10.8) |
| 9 | @Hou | 16 (17.8) |
| 10 | Car | 26 (20.6) |
| 11 | @GB | 27 (20.8) |
| 12 | Ten | 18 (19.4) |
| 13 | @Dal | 14 (15.6) |
| 14 | Sea | 1 (8.8) |
| 15 | Dal | 14 (15.6) |
| 16 | @Wsh | 7 (11.8) |
| 17 | @NYG | 24 (20.2) |
Owners who made the steep investment on McCoy can only hope that Sunday marked a return to form for one of the league's safest picks in fantasy drafts this season. Regardless, he is an RB1 all the way in all leagues, even if Sproles remains in the lineup at his normal usage.
Sproles is trickier. He is merely a change-of-pace back no matter how McCoy performs, and now an injury issue has further complicated the puzzle.
Until the scope of the injury is known, Sproles is a risky flex at best who should only be in lineups if he is healthy and a favorable matchup presents itself.
