The Chicago Bears' 59-37 win over the Carolina Panthers was the most headline-grabbing result.

Bears coach Ben Johnson might make good on his goal of producing the highest-scoring offense in history. Caleb Williams went 21-of-29 for 269 yards and two touchdowns, while D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai both ran for 100-plus yards.

Granted, allowing 478 yards to their opponents may not be sustainable for the Bears defense.

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart brought Sunday's action to a close with an efficient showing in a 28-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys. He had 230 yards and three touchdowns through the air while posting a 134.2 QB rating. Dart also ran for 54 yards.

First-year offensive coordinator Matt Nagy drew up a game plan that played perfectly to Dart's strengths.

The Minnesota Vikings' 39-22 victory over the Green Bay Packers was one of Sunday's most surprising scores for two reasons. Starting quarterback Kyler Murray exited after just 11 plays, and Minnesota was down 22-10 midway through the third quarter.

Backup quarterback Carson Wentz and a ball-hawking defense inspired quite the second-half comeback. The Vikings' final three touchdowns all came within the final 6:37 of the game.

Altogether, Week 1 set a high bar for the rest of the season to follow.
