After another sensational display from Eden Hazard helped Chelsea comfortably dispatch Arsenal 2-0, news has emerged that the Belgian winger picked up a knock for his troubles.
That’s according to his national team boss Marc Wilmots, who claimed the 23-year-old has a problem with his toe, per Belgian newspaper Sport Wereld (h/t Benjamin Newman of 101greatgoals.com):
"[Hazard's] toe looks blue, but there is certainly not a fracture.
Hopefully Eden may join the group as soon as possible.

Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur stated that the former Lille man had to sit out training because of the injury:
The Red Devils will be desperate to have Hazard fit for their upcoming qualifiers for the European Championships. Admittedly, they should have plenty in the tank to beat minnows Andorra without their star attacker, but Wilmots will be hoping the Chelsea man is primed for their clash in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Oct. 13 in Zenica.

For Jose Mourinho, the news will come as something of a concern, especially after he expressed worries over the fitness of another key player in Diego Costa, per Kris Voakes of Goal.com, who has been called up to the Spanish squad for their upcoming matches.
The Blues have started the season in magnificent fashion and Hazard has continued to showcase major improvements as a player. He’s already scored two goals and notched one assist, per WhoScored.com, while his sensational dribbling and wonderful trickery has made him one of the most engrossing players to watch in the Premier League this season.

Now he’ll be desperate to replicate that form on the international stage, especially after enduring something of an underwhelming World Cup in Brazil.
The game with Bosnia and Herzegovina shapes up to be the most vital in the qualifying group, so expect Wilmots to take no chances on Hazard’s fitness. With that in mind, it’d be no surprise to see him rested as a precaution for their game with Andorra on Oct. 10 and unleashed in Zenica for that critical game.
