Liverpool Transfer News: Brendan Rodgers Rubbishes Raheem Sterling PSG Rumours
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is adamant that Raheem Sterling will be at Anfield for some time yet despite rumours linking the England international with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Paul Smith in The Independent, the French champions are prepared to treble Sterling's current Liverpool wages of £43,000 a week to persuade the 19-year-old to make the switch to the French capital.

Indeed, there have recently been reports that the winger is dissatisfied with Liverpool's negotiations surrounding his new contract—his current deal still has two years remaining but is likely considered under-valued considering his importance to the team.
However, Chris Bascombe in The Telegraph reports that Liverpool will have committed Sterling to a new and improved contract in the next two weeks.
For Rodgers' part, he has been very dismissive of the links with PSG and others, insisting that Anfield is the best place for Sterling despite the French giants being able to offer him more money, per Tim Rich in The Independent:
"He still has a lot of growth [in his game] and the best place for him is here. I am absolutely adamant. His agent is a good agent and understands this is the perfect place for him. It is not a big issue for us. Ian Ayre [the Liverpool chief executive] has spoken to his representatives and is quite relaxed. There are no thoughts about anything else other than his continuing to play for Liverpool.
"
Former Liverpool defender and club legend Jamie Carragher has also weighed in on the rumours surrounding Sterling.
He came out on Twitter urging Sterling's agent—he actually has two, Rob Segal and Aidy Ward—not to add fuel to any fire about a potential move or Sterling's dissatisfaction:
Indeed, while PSG may well be interested in Sterling—as Ligue 1 expert Jonathan Johnson notes on Bleacher Report UK, they do currently have issues out wide—it is surely highly likely he will remain at Anfield.
Rodgers has nurtured him well since 2012 and he now plays a key role in the Liverpool side as well as being an integral part of the England national setup.
Any move for Sterling away from Merseyside would be a poor decision just now for the youngster, as he could well be set to be an Anfield legend.
