Rueben Frank of CSN Philadelphia and Tim McManus of 97.5 The Fanatic reported on McCoy after suffering the injury:
The Eagles later confirmed that McCoy was being evaluated for a head injury:
However, McCoy was later cleared to return (via Jeff Darlington of NFL.com):

McCoy entered 2014 as one of the top running backs in football. In Chip Kelly's fast-paced, high-octane offense last year, he rushed for a personal best 1,607 yards and added 539 receiving yards. His versatility is a perfect fit for Kelly's attack.
The Eagles head coach wasn't bashful about setting expectations for McCoy, per Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com:
"I think he has challenges and goals and aspirations that he wants to achieve..... he does have the unique ability that the goals and aspirations he has, they are obtainable. (He says) 'I wanna lead the NFL in rushing', but not everyone has the God given ability to do it. He does.
"
Kelly added that McCoy won't want to watch the prime years of his career go wasted, via Matt Lombardo of 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia:
Marshall Faulk knows a thing or two about the running back position. He said on NFL Network that McCoy could eclipse 1,000 yards rushing and receiving:
All of that now takes a back seat to McCoy's health. The fate of the Eagles hinges largely on his recovery. The speedier the better.
With McCoy out, Darren Sproles should see a slight increase in touches. Even at 31 years old, Sproles remains a steady producer as a result of his variety of roles on offense and special teams. Sproles can't replicate McCoy's numbers, but he should do enough so as to prevent a massive drop-off.
Meanwhile, third-year back Chris Polk figures to receive the majority of the carries in McCoy's absence. Polk battled health issues himself during the offseason, but he has loads of talent and will now have an opportunity to show it.
The player most under pressure in McCoy's absence is Nick Foles. The Eagles quarterback set a blistering pace last season, but his job was made easier by having an All-Pro running back in the backfield. The less opposing defenses respect the Philly running game, the more they'll set up to defend the pass.
The Eagles should be able to survive in the NFC East, which is far from the most intimidating division in the league. But they'll certainly want McCoy back on the field as soon as possible.
