Paul Goldschmidt Video: Watch Diamondbacks Star Crush Walk-off HR vs. Orioles
If you want to know exactly what Paul Goldschmidt means to the Arizona Diamondbacks, you need to look no further than his two clutch home runs on Tuesday night against the Baltimore Orioles.
With no runners on and no outs in the bottom of the 11th inning, the D'backs slugger smoked a T.J. McFarland pitch over the right-field wall to end the ballgame and push his team's record to 61-57 on the season.
But that wasn't the only highlight-reel moment of the night for the All-Star. The Diamondbacks wouldn't have even been in a position to win the game if it weren't for Goldschmidt hitting yet another solo home run to lead off the bottom of the ninth to tie the game at three apiece.

The Diamondbacks' 4-3 victory truly serves as a microcosm for their current season. Goldschmidt, the 25-year-old first baseman, has been the do-it-all offensive weapon for the club in 2013. He leads the team in home runs, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, RBI, walks and stolen bases.
He also has Arizona staying afloat as a potential NL wild-card team. The D'backs currently trail the Cincinnati Reds by 5.5 games for the second wild-card spot.
Goldschmidt's home run total stands at 29 on the season, and he has now overtaken Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman Pedro Alvarez for the NL lead. Goldschmidt is also hitting .297 with an OBP of .390 and an NL-leading 93 RBI.
It's games like this one that will make Goldschmidt an intriguing candidate when it comes time for voters to turn in their MVP ballots at the end of the year.
