MVP Predictions
Kobe Bryant
If the Western Conference wins, you better believe it will be because Kobe is doing work.
The Lakers superstar won this award in his team’s city last year by putting up 37 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
He’s jacking up even more shots this season and seems to have a chip on his shoulder, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise at all to see him firing away during the All-Star game.
LeBron James
James is having the best season of anyone in the NBA right now. He’s pulling out monster performances and filling up the stat sheet on a nightly basis.
The All-Star game is an event where those numbers can get astronomically high, especially for a player as skilled at scoring, rebounding and passing as LeBron is.
If the East takes this down, LeBron has to be a favorite to win MVP.
Game Prediction
East 151 – West 149
This is going to be a close game, but it seems these two conferences trade wins every other year.
Since 2006, it has been a back and forth battle, which would favor the East after their narrow defeat in Los Angeles in 2011.
They have a stacked starting lineup, although it remains unclear if Carmelo Anthony will be playing due to injury.
Regardless, he’s having one of his worst campaigns of his career and there are plenty of suitable replacements to be found on the reserve roster.
It’s going to be a close, exciting game that will be extremely fun to watch, so make sure you tune in.
