Chelsea FC: 4 Players AVB May Raid Porto for in the Next Few Windows

0 of 5

Since the day Andre Villas Boas arrived at Chelsea, there has been talk of him raiding his former club, FC Porto, to reinforce his current Blues squad.

It's no secret that Porto is filled with world-class players, any of whom would be a great addition to the Chelsea squad, but with there still inevitably being some animosity between Porto and their former manager, they're surely in no hurry to offer CFC any deals on their biggest stars.

Nevertheless, if AVB sees any one of his former players as being a future asset to the Blues, Chelsea will surely be after them.

Here are 4 players I believe might be at the top of his list...

Alvaro Pereira

1 of 5

Alvaro Pereira is the most obvious one, considering the Blues made an official bid for him this past August.

Pereira is a left-back who is an Ashley-Cole-esque player, in that he often goes forward and functions essentially as a left-winger.

Chelsea made a bid for him in the summer transfer window, but after Villas Boas announced that a deal was unlikely due to a large difference in valuation between clubs, nothing materialized.

Most likely, AVB sees Pereira as a backup and eventual replacement for Ashley Cole. And it's only a matter of time before we see if CFC will be back for him in January or next summer.

Rolando

2 of 5

Rolando is probably the least necessary of all the players in this list, but that doesn't mean AVB doesn't fancy him for a move to the Bridge in the next few windows.

Rolando is a centre-back, and at an impressive 6' 2", is an immense physical presence on the pitch.

He would be a great addition to any side, but being that Chelsea already has a wealth of defenders in their squad, it is still uncertain whether or not he'll be a target for them in the future.

Joao Moutinho

3 of 5

Over the summer, Moutinho was reported to be the backup option if the Luka Modric pursuit proved unsuccessful. The latter occurred, but no move for Moutinho was ever made.

The Portuguese central midfielder would be a great addition to add creativity and pace to Chelsea's midfield.

Over the summer, Porto bought back 22.5 percent of Moutinho's ownership from an investment group they previously sold it to, increasing speculation that the sale of the player was imminent.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will up their interest in him in the next few windows, but he without a doubt would be a great addition.

Hulk

4 of 5

By far the most ambitious target on this list, Hulk is a monster of a player. His physical stature and pure muscle are a testament to his nickname.

Hulk has been a goal scoring machine at Porto, scoring an impressive 23 goals in 26 league appearances, and a total 36 goals in 53 appearances in all competitions last season. He can play as either a right-winger or a striker.

Over the summer, it was reported by SkySports that a stunning €80 million bid for Hulk was turned down by Porto, who have a whopping €100 million buyout clause in his contract. Now, there are only a few clubs in the world who could afford to shell out that kind of money for anyone, but it was never revealed from whom the offer came.

Without a doubt, Hulk would be a great addition to the Chelsea squad, and would be a great insert into the starting 11 in the right-winger role.

Conclusion

5 of 5

Any one of these players would be a great addition to Chelsea's squad, and I'm sure they'd be eager to join their beloved former manager in the Premier League, as some have previously expressed.

And seeing as the next transfer window is fast approaching, uncertainty around these potential moves might not last for long.
