The Serie A is one of the elite football leagues and the transfer window is about to open. This of course means a lot of rumors are swirling around in the air.

Some are going to come to fruition and some are going to be stagnant forever because newspapers were just trying to strive to get readers.

The Serie A has many big stars that will attract attention and the writers will speculate.

This is a list of 18 of the biggest rumors and predictions to whether or not they will actually come true.

Alexis Sanchez to Barcelona

This rumor is 100 percent true.

Alexis Sanchez had an outstanding season with Udinese where he helped qualify for the Champions League.

The Chilean striker was deserving of a move to a big club and many of them were interested.

The Guardian reports that Sanchez will fly to Barcelona to finalize the deal before the Copa America. This allows for Chile to not be responsible for the deal not going through if he picks up an injury during the tournament.

Udinese have said there is still some work to be done in terms of the fee being offered for Sanchez.

Barcelona is keen on Sanchez and he also seems to want the move. There is no reason to believe this will not happen.

Davide Astori Leaving Cagliari

Davide Astori says he is ready for the next step in his career. This appears to be a move to AC Milan.

The 24 year old Cagliari defender has a 50 percent chance of moving.

His contract is co owned by the two clubs and Cagliari know they need his talents to climb up the table but Astori knows he is ready for the step up to AC Milan.

The two teams are deadlocked and his future could be up for a blind auction according to’s report.

Daniele De Rossi to Manchester

Daniele De Rossi might just be moving out of Rome. There is a 45 percent chance he might be on the move the Premier League.

The neighbors in Manchester both were put on alert when De Rossi reportedly told his agent to push for a move away from Roma.

With Paul Scholes retiring, De Rossi would be able to fit as his replacement at Old Trafford but Manchester City has the bankroll to steal him away from the Red Devils.

Roberto Mancini knows De Rossi well and if he truly wants him he will go out and get him even if it means doubling Sir Alex Ferguson’s offer.

Michael Bradley to Roma

    J. Meric/Getty Images

This is a move that would be ideal for Michael Bradley. There is a 50 percent chance that this move happens.

If Daniele De Rossi is on the move away from the Stadio Olimpico then Michael Bradley is a player that could slip into his role.

Bradley is not at De Rossi’s level by any means but he is a player that has succeeded in almost every move that he has had during his short professional career.

Bradley has been reported to make his loan move a permanent switch to Aston Villa but this just doesn’t seem likely because Villa have not publicized it. This does not mean it will not happen though.

A move to Roma is not out of the question because the new American owners have a desire to bring in American talent to the Italian capital.

Edinson Cavani to the Premier League

5 of 18

NAPLES, ITALY - APRIL 30: Edinson Cavani (R) of SSC Napoli in action during the Serie A match between SSC Napoli and Genoa CFC at Stadio San Paolo on April 30, 2011 in Naples, Italy. (Photo by Paolo Bruno/Getty Images)
    Paolo Bruno/Getty Images

Edinson Cavani had an unreal season with Napoli last season and it put many clubs on red alert. The chances he moves away from Napoli are about 30 percent.

He seems to be comfortable at Napoli and even though big spending Manchester City seems ready to open their check books Cavani seems ready to turn them down.

Cavani does not want to become another flavor of the week striker. Manchester City continues to spend and the bench gets longer and longer where some of the most talented players in the world cannot see the pitch.

Cavani hit major form last season and Mancini’s line up switches would not be giving him enough time to hit a groove like he found this season.

Samuel Eto’o Leaving Inter Milan

6 of 18

    Claudio Villa/Getty Images

When Samuel Eto’o himself said he would be open to a move to the Premier League in the future, this rumor started. This rumor has a 40 percent chance of happening.

Eto’o will be needed if Inter Milan want to get the Scudetto back from their fierce rivals AC Milan.

Eto’o has been linked to many Premier League clubs and Paris Saint-Germain of Ligue 1 in France.

Although his desire is to prove himself in England it will not likely be happening this upcoming season.

Doni to Liverpool

7 of 18

BARI, ITALY - MAY 01: Doni of Roma in action during the Serie A match between AS Bari and AS Roma at Stadio San Nicola on May 1, 2011 in Bari, Italy. (Photo by Giuseppe Bellini/Getty Images)
    Giuseppe Bellini/Getty Images

Doni was thought to be going to Liverpool to be the back up to Pepe Reina. It was reported that Roma and Liverpool had agreed a deal in principle.

Doni rejected the deal because it would require him to take a pay cut. This deal has a 15 percent chance of happening.

The only reason it has any chance of starting up again is if Liverpool is willing to come closer to Doni’s wage demands.

This is not likely judging by the difference in wages. Liverpool reportedly were offering €900,000 per year, the goalkeeper earns €2.5M per year at Roma.

Emanuel Adebayor to AC Milan

8 of 18

    Jasper Juinen/Getty Images

This rumour has a 50 percent chance of happening.

Emanuel Adebayor will certainly not be heading back to Manchester City after his loan spell with Real Madrid.

More then likely the large target striker will stay with Real Madrid for another season if Manchester City is willing to lower their asking price for a permanent move.

City is reportedly asking for €16 million.

AC Milan will most likely not pay that price either. Milan will get the Togolese striker if they can get him for a more reasonable price and they will certainly not outspend Real Madrid.

Thiago Silva to Barcelona

9 of 18

ROME, ITALY - MAY 07: Thiago Silva of Milan in action during the Serie A match between AS Roma and AC Milan at Stadio Olimpico on May 7, 2011 in Rome, Italy. (Photo by Giuseppe Bellini/Getty Images)
    Giuseppe Bellini/Getty Images

This rumour will not happen. There is a zero percent this will happen.

Thiago Silva admits there was contact from Barcelona but he does not want to leave.

It is reported that he was showing his cards to AC Milan so that he could get a pay raise.

This is a common strategy used by players. Milan will not be scared though by Barcelona’s approach because they do not have the money to spend on one of Milan’s most valuable players.

They will not be able to get AC Milan to sell Silva he will more than likely get his money though.

Wilson Palacios to Napoli

There is a good chance that Wilson Palacios will be leaving North London this summer. There is a 45 percent chance that he lands at the doorstep of Napoli.

Tottenham could sell Palacios to get money for other moves in the transfer market. This means Napoli will most likely be able to get him at a fair price which is something that will make them want to continue pursuing the midfielder.

Napoli had a great season where they obtained Champions League football for next year and this is going to make Palacios fine with the switch.

If Palacios makes the move he will surely get his chances with Napoli who have the Champions League money to spend to strengthen their squad.

Ezequiel Lavezzi to Replace Carlos Tevez

11 of 18

LECCE, ITALY - MAY 08: Ezequiel Lavezzi of Napoli in action during the Serie A match between Lecce and SSC Napoli at Stadio Via del Mare on May 8, 2011 in Lecce, Italy. (Photo by Giuseppe Bellini/Getty Images)
    Giuseppe Bellini/Getty Images

Ezequiel Lavezzi has a 50 percent chance that he will be going to Manchester City to replace Carlos Tevez.

The drama with Carlos Tevez seems to keep going on and on. One minute he wants to stay and the other he wants to go back to Argentina.

This whole deal will hinge on if the Man City captain wants to stay where he is.

If he forces a move away Lavezzi will certainly come in because City will offer Napoli enough money that they cannot refuse.

If Tevez’s homesickness moves him Lavezzi will find himself in a new home also.

Kaka to Inter Milan

12 of 18

VALENCIA, SPAIN - APRIL 23: Kaka of Real Madrid celebrates in action during the La Liga match between Valencia and Real Madrid at Estadio Mestalla on April 23, 2011 in Valencia, Spain. (Photo by Denis Doyle/Getty Images)
    Denis Doyle/Getty Images

This move has a 25 percent chance of happening.

The first reason is Inter Milan cannot afford to pay Kaka’s wages that he earns with Real Madrid.

Another reason that Kaka will not be coming to his former team's rival is his respect for his former club AC Milan. Kaka did not seem like he wanted out of AC Milan when he made the move to Real Madrid.

The move seemed more on the part of AC Milan due to financial issues at the time. If Kaka was to return to the San Siro he would be donning the red and black.

The final reason why he would not be coming back to Italy is because his job is not done in the Spanish capital.

Kaka is a prideful player who wants to make his naysayers eat their words.

Alberto Aquilani to Juventus

13 of 18

TURIN, ITALY - APRIL 10: Alberto Aquilani of Juventus FC in action during the Serie A match between Juventus FC and Genoa CFC at Olimpico Stadium on April 10, 2011 in Turin, Italy. (Photo by Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images)
    Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images

Alberto Aquilani had a very solid season for Juventus while being on loan from Liverpool. The odds of the loan becoming a permanent move is 75 percent.

Aquilani desires to be back in Italy and Juventus want him to stay with them as they try to gain back their Serie A dominance from the past.

Aquilani had an unfair time in England. He came to Liverpool injured and when he finally became healthy he did not get many opportunities to prove his worth.

This spoiled Liverpool for Aquilani. He feels comfortable in the Serie A and the style of play fits him perfectly.

If the two teams can agree on the money this move will absolutely happen.

Javier Pastore to Leave Palermo

14 of 18

PARMA, ITALY - MAY 01: Javier Matias Pastore of US Citta di Palermo is in action during the Serie A match between Parma FC and US Citta di Palermo at Stadio Ennio Tardini on May 1, 2011 in Parma, Italy. (Photo by Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images)
    Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images

Javier Pastore will be leaving Palermo this summer. There is an 80 percent chance that Pastore will be allowed to walk out the door.

The Palermo president Mauro Zamparini will have to allow for it to happen but Pastore has given a push saying that his future is not with the Palermo.

The Argentinian playmaker has caught the eye of many teams during his time at Palermo and his growth will be stunted if he stays where he is.

If the Palermo president does not let Pastore leave he will be able to play in the Europa League but his talents truly belong in the Champions League.

The biggest issue that makes this not a 100 percent chance of happening is that Zamparini is reportedly asking for €50 million for Pastore.

Domenico Criscito to Napoli

15 of 18

GENOA, ITALY - APRIL 23: Domenico Criscito of Genoa CFC in action during the Serie A match between Genoa CFC and Lecce at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on April 23, 2011 in Genoa, Italy. (Photo by Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images)
    Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images

The two clubs have agreed to co ownership of Domenico Criscito’s contract. Criscito has a 100 percent chance that he will be in Napoli next season.

The two clubs have agreed to terms with each other all that needs to happen now is for Criscito to agree to personal terms on his contract with Napoli.

This is a great move for Napoli because Criscito will add a new dimension to the club as they enter their Serie A and Champions League campaigns.

Mirko Vucinic Leaving Roma

16 of 18

LECCE, ITALY - MARCH 04: Mirko Vucinic of Roma during the Serie A match between US Lecce and AS Roma at Stadio Via del Mare on March 4, 2011 in Lecce, Italy. (Photo by Maurizio Lagana/Getty Images)
    Maurizio Lagana/Getty Images

Clubs have tracked Mirko Vucinic for many seasons now. He is a talented striker who is consistent and will improve any club he is on.

There is a 60 percent chance that he will be leaving Roma this season. Juventus, Blackburn, and Tottenham have been linked to the Montenegro striker recently.

The three teams will be lucky to get him but Blackburn most likely has the least chance to land his signature.

Tottenham has followed Vucinic for a few seasons now and this could be the time where a move happens.

With Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko looking likely to leave, Vucinic would have a spot in the squad from the day he signs.

But if he wants to stay in Serie A, Juventus will snatch up his signature.

Fabio Borini to Parma

17 of 18

TOULON, FRANCE - JUNE 02: Fabio Borini of Italy in action during an Italian U-21 training session at Stade de Bon Rencontre on June 2, 2011 in Toulon, France. (Photo by Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images)
    Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images

The Italian U 21 striker is in the final year of his contract with Chelsea. Fabio Borini is going to weigh up his options as Swansea and Parma are after his signature.

There is a 40 percent chance that Parma will land the young strikers signature.

He is a player that will add a nice option to Parma’s attack.

He had a good season with Swansea and they want him back on a permanent basis. This is one thing that Parma will have to compete with.

Chelsea will not be giving him the first team time that Borini needs to succeed so he may push for one of these two options and Chelsea will more than likely accept so that they cash in on the talented striker prospect.

Landon Donovan to Roma

18 of 18

KANSAS CITY, KS - JUNE 14: Landon Donovan #10 of the USA controls the ball during the GoldCup game against Guadeloupe on June 14, 2011 at LiveStrong Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kansas. (Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images)
    Jamie Squire/Getty Images

Landon Donovan showed that he is ready to play on the world's biggest stages after his 10 week loan spell at Everton FC and his great 2010 World Cup.

Donovan would certainly be the American star the new Roma owners are seeking.

He is the face of American soccer but there is only a 10 percent chance he would make the move to the Stadio Olimpico.

The sliver of a percentage is there purely because if there is enough money the MLS would allow Donovan the option and he might go to Italy as his next challenge.

He has stated previously his love for Everton and if he is going to move abroad from America he will most likely be going to the blue side of Merseyside.
