As the summer transfer window grows ever closer I will take a daily look at what is happening around the continent.
The main focus will be on the Premier League, but if something happens on the continent be assured that you will hear about it here.
Only one place to start today and that is with the news that Manchester United are on the verge on signing the highly rated Blackburn Rovers defender Phil Jones.
The Premier League champions are looking to strengthen as they attempt to battle with Barcelona for European domination.
The signing of Jones gives Sir Alex Ferguson one of the most talented players in the Premier League.
After completing his medical at Old Trafford he will join up with the England Under-21 in Denmark.
The other big news coming out of the North West today is that Liverpool have agreed a deal with Sunderland for midfielder Jordan Henderson.
The England cap is rumoured to have travelled to Merseyside to discuss personal terms.
He will fetch a fee of an expected ₤20 million.
Considering the price, this is a big risk by Kenny Dalglish. Henderson, although talented, hasn't been that impressive in the second half of this season.
The Reds are also being linked with Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing and Ashley Young in today's tabloids.
Manchester City in the meantime have again been linked with a move to Bolton centre back Gary Cahill.
They face competition though from Arsenal who have also completed the signing of Charlton Athletic youngster Carl Jenkinson.
London rivals Chelsea are reportedly keen on Belgian duo Kevin De Bruyne and Roman Lukaku. The highly rated youngsters look set to leave their homeland in the summer after impressing this season.
Tottenham are also looking to the continent for reinforcements as they take a look at German international Serder Tasci.
On the Continent
The biggest news from the continent today involves Udinese's Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez. The youngster looks set to snub the Premier League and make his way to Barcelona.
Inter Milan also seem set to complete the signing of Japanese international Yuto Nagatomo from Cesena after a successful loan spell.
Japanese international Shinji Kagawa though looks set to stay with German champions Borussia Dortmund after Manchester United declared an interest in the midfielder.
Finally today, one deal that has been made official is the signing of Manuel Neuer, who has signed for German giants Bayern Munich.
