Jose Mourinho Offers Kaka to Inter Milan for Douglas Maicon, According to Report
La Gazzetta dello Sport (reported here via Soccernews.com) has broken news that Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is in talks to send Kaka to Inter Milan for Douglas Maicon. Mourinho and Inter Milan manager Leonardo have talked over the phone to negotiate.
Mourinho wants to clean house in Real Madrid after firing Pedro Leon from Santiago Bernabeu. He apparently considers Kaka a liability in Real Madrid and is obsessed with Maicon.
Leonardo appears to think otherwise and has expressed interest in Kaka. He also wants to find another team for Maicon during the summer transfer window.

The obstacles to a potential deal are the insistence on a cash adjustment that Real Madrid demands from Inter Milan and the denial by Maicon's agent, Antonio Caliendo, about any deal.
Kaka was also associated in the past with AC Milan, which may not bode well with the people in Inter Milan. The other possibility is that Chelsea is competing against Inter Milan for Kaka, although the latter is edging out Chelsea.
It remains to be seen how this will transpire, so let us keep our fingers crossed.
Update: At 10:35 a.m., according to this Fox Sports report, Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti was quoted as saying the report from earlier today was "absolutely not true" and that "these are all lies."
