Can Louis Saha Revive His Career At Everton?

Everton have agreed to sign French striker Louis Saha from Manchester United, subject to him passing a medical.

Apparently David Moyes will offer him a two-year deal with the option of a one-year extension. He will sign for an undisclosed fee.

Saha will become Everton's third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Danish international Lars Jacobsen, and Segundo Castillo, the Colombian who was on trial at Blackburn Rovers earlier in the summer.

The injury-prone striker will now look to revive his career at Goodison Park, and show everyone what he's really capable of. He scored 42 goals in 124 appearances for United since joining back in January 2004 from Fulham.

The Frenchman had a bitter sweet campaign last season for United. He scored the winner at home to Sunderland back in September 2007, and sealed victory against Chelsea in the league with a penalty.

But he got injured yet again come the business end of the season, and didn't really make an impact in United's Premiership or UEFA Champions League victories.

He will be hoping for different fortunes this season however, as he looks to revive his form of the past for his new club Everton, and form a good partnership with Nigerian Aiyegbeni Yakubu.

His move to Goodison Park could almost certainly pave the way for Dimitar Berbatov's proposed move to Old Trafford, with the move being boosted further as Russian forward Roman Pavlyuchenko looks all set to join Tottenham Hotspur as Berbatov's replacement.

So with Saha appearing to leave United, and Berbatov appearing to join United, there will be no gap left open in United's attack, as a 10 goal-a-season striker looks set to be replaced by a 20 goal-a-season striker.

What do you think? Will Everton be any better with Saha? Should United have sold him or not? Will Berbatov be much better than Saha? Please feel free to leave a comment.
