EPL Round-up Matchday 2
Chelsea and Liverpool extended their winning streaks at the weekend, with wins over Wigan and Middlesbrough respectively, while there were first wins of the season for Manchester United, Stoke City, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Manchester City, Everton and Fulham.
The biggest shock of the weekend probably came at Craven Cottage, where the mighty Arsenal were out-done by Fulham, who won courtesy of a Brede Hangeland goal. The big defender stabbed the ball home on 21 minutes to settle the game and give the Cottagers a 1-0 win.
It was a rather unexpected defeat for the Gunners, as several players under-performed, including the young Samir Nasri, who looked like a completely different player following his lively debut at the Emirates. They'll be hoping for a better result next time round when they host Newcaslte.

Manchester United fended off criticism by winning 1-0 away at Fratton Park, against a strong Portsmouth side. Darren Fletcher's strike that deflected off Campbell gave United the lead and eventually the win, when he scored on 32 minutes. It was a good win for United, who played much better than against Newcastle, and looked more like the team they were last season.
Stoke picked up their first win of the season, making a great home debut in the Premier League. Goals from Lawrence, Fuller, and Sidibe gave Stoke their first ever win in the Premier League.
There was also a win for Manchester City, who picked off West Ham rather comfortably to claim a 3-0 win. A double from Brazilian Elano, and one from promising youngster Daniel Sturridge gave City the win over a lacklustre West Ham side.
Sunderland beat a surprisingly unspectacular Tottenham side 2-1, with a cracker from Keiran Richardson and a debut goal for Djibril Cisse handing the new-look Sunderland side a deserved win.
Liverpool left it late to beat Middlesbrough, who took the lead through a fantastic low effort from Mido that completely beat Pepe Reina. But the Reds responded perfectly and won it through local lads Jaime Carragher and Steven Gerrard, the latter scoring in injury-time.
A workmanlike Chelsea side beat Wigan 1-0 at the JJB Stadium, with Deco's superb free-kick on four minutes proving to be the decisive factor. Everton picked up their first points of the season away to West Brom, while Newcastle beat Bolton 1-0 thanks to a Michael Owen goal.
There was also one draw at the weekend, with honours even at Ewood Park, where Blackburn Rovers and Hull City drew 1-1. Jason Roberts put Blackburn ahead, but his effort was soon cancelled out by a Richard Garcia header that looped in rather surprisingly.
