Nicolas Anelka, Patrice Evra, and Others To Face FFF Disciplinary Court

Nicolas Anelka, Patrice Evra, Franck Ribery, Eric Abidal, and Jeremy Toulalan have been cited by the FFF (French Football Federation) Disciplinary Committee for their role in creating chaos for France during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The disciplinary committee of the FFF will be reviewing the case of the five on Aug. 17, 2010.

Jacques Rousselot, member of the FFF Council, was interviewed by the French sports magazine L' Equipie in response to the news.

He stated that the reason for the disciplinary meeting against these players were for their participation in this disgrace. They are supposed to testify about their activities during the events that lead to France becoming a disgrace in the last World Cup. 

The news comes in light of the decision by the new French Football/Soccer Team coach Laurent Blanc to unilaterally suspend the team from its friendly game against Norway.

The FFF is continuing the stages of rebuilding the French football/soccer team after its debacle. It is right in taking the measures necessary in order to avoid a repeat of the scandal of 2010.

When a person wears the uniform of his or her country or the country they chose to represent, it is important to work with the team and follow orders from the coach.

If there is any discussion, it could be addressed after the game.

Anything less is tantamount to treason of the highest degree. It is hoped that the FFF expels these players from their federation after the back stabbing they committed against their country during the 2010 World Cup.

The justice system in football/soccer should go further in the case of these players with Chelsea keeping an eye on Anelka, Manchester United supervising Evra, Barcelona monitoring the activities of Abidal, and Bayern Munchen reading the riot act to Ribery.

The clubs that have these players should remind the players of the consequences of what could happen to them if they repeat the 2010 World Cup disaster in their teams.

It would not even be a bad idea if they were suspended for a time from their teams.

Regardless, what has happened was inevitable and it is hoped that France could rebuild itself into a Football/Soccer team that it can be proud of.
