Power Ranking the Top 50 Players on the Transfer Market

So far this year, we have seen many different players prove themselves to be among the best on both their domestic and now the international stage with the World Cup going on in South Africa.
From some of the fantastic young players on the German international squad or a Spanish player who is playing on a side that appears ready to transfer him out, we have seen some great young talent become available.
With that in mind, here is my Power Ranking of the top 50 Players Available on the Transfer Market.
No. 50 Craig Bellamy
Current Club: Manchester City
Position: Striker/Winger
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Everton, Fulham, and Tottenham.
Background: Craig Bellamy is a very talented footballer who wears his heart on his sleeve. However, that has been a major liability for the Welshman, as he continues to find himself getting transferred from club to club.
No. 49 Jesús Navas
Current Club: Sevilla
Position: Winger
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Liverpool and Tottenham.
Background: One of the best right-sided players in the world, Jesús Navas had a fantastic season for Sevilla and is now playing for World Cup favorite Spain.
Right now, Navas could really make himself better by joining a bigger side, which will make him a more renowned name than before.
No. 48 Bob Schepers
Current Club: SC Cambuur
Position: Winger
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United, Everton, and Ajax.
Background: A young Dutch winger, Bob Schepers appears to be one of the next big things in Dutch football.
Right now, he does not play for a big Dutch side in Leeuwarden, but he has been able to play for the Dutch in the U-17 World Cup last year along with the U-17 European Championship.
No. 47 Radamel Falcao
Current Club: FC Porto
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Birmingham City.
Background: A young Colombian, Radamel Falcao was able to have a great first season for Porto, scoring 25 goals in just 26 matches after joining River Plate.
Now, he might be the next great young player from the Portuguese Liga to join a major European side.
No. 46 Nicolás Otamendi
Current Club: Vélez Sársfield
Position: Defender
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Inter Milan, Fiorentina, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
Background: A young defender who was given a chance to play for Argentina from Diego Maradona, Nicolás Otamendi has not let down the Argentine legend and now finds himself as a starter for Argentina in the World Cup.
Now, he will most likely be playing in Europe next year as he continues to develop.
No. 45 Pape Diakhaté
Current Club: Dynamo Kiev
Position: Defender
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Tottenham, and Juventus.
Background: A very solid defender, Pape Diakhaté has been known as a potential target of Arsene Wegner's for the last several years as he continues to play in the Ukraine.
After spending some time with Saint-Étienne last year, Diakhaté is widely expected to come to England next year.
No. 44 Hatem Ben Arfa
Current Club: Marseille
Position: Left Winger
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Everton, Manchester United, and Blackburn.
Background: One of the players who was surprisingly left off the French squad, Hatem Ben Arfa has already won Ligue 1 five times in his short career.
Afra has also won the U-17 European Championship back in 2004.
No. 43 David Luiz
Current Club: Benfica
Position: Defender
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.
Background: A key part of the defence that helped Benfica to Portugal’s Liga Sagres title this season, David Luiz will now look to get onto a bigger European side after yet another solid year.
Luiz still has yet to play for his native Brazil on the senior level, but a big move will help him try to get onto Brazil.
No. 42 Javi Martínez
Current Club: Athletic Bilbao
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Liverpool.
Background: A tough midfielder, Javi Martínez was once expected to move to Liverpool as a replacement to Xabi Alonso last summer.
But now, Martínez finds himself playing for Spain in South Africa as he looks to move to a bigger side.
No. 41 Mark González
Current Club: CSKA Moscow
Position: Winger
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Liverpool and Olympiakos
Background: After having a solid World Cup in which he scored a winning goal for Chile over Switzerland, Mark González will now head back to CSKA Moscow with his future in the balance.
He had a great year in the Champions League CSKA, but he could move out of Russia and into Western Europe sometime in the next couple of weeks.
No. 40 Mikel Arteta
Current Club: Everton
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United and Arsenal
Background: A major part of Everton over the last several years, Mikel Arteta now finds himself with the possibility that he could be moving out of Goodison Park this summer as he works on a new contract.
The only reason why he might want to move is to make the Spanish national team, where he has yet to have a cap.
No. 39 Karim Benzema
Current Club: Real Madrid
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United, Inter Milan, and AC Milan
Background: One of the top prizes in last year's transfer window as Real Madrid picked him up from Lyon for 35 million euros, Karim Benzmea had a subpar year; more and more people believe he could be moving away from Madrid.
Benzema also found himself out of the French squad for this World Cup.
No. 38 Asamoah Gyan
Current Club: Rennes
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: West Ham, Udinese, and Lokomotiv Moscow.
Background: The leading goalscorer for Ghana in this World Cup, Asamoah Gyan is only 24 years old and his fantastic World Cup seems like it will move him away from France.
Overall, Gyan scored the winning goal against the United States in the round of 16, and also scored two more Ghanaian goals (both off of penalties).
No. 37 Jack Rodwell
Current Club: Everton
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United and Arsenal.
Background: An extremely bright talent, Jack Rodwell was able to get some significant playing time for Everton this year, and was able to score a great goal against Manchester United in Everton's 3-1 win earlier in the year.
No. 36 Joe Cole
Current Club: Chelsea
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester United,
and Arsenal
Background: After spending seven years with Chelsea, Joe Cole now has found himself looking for work outside of Stamford Bridge after winning the Premier League with Chelsea this year.
Cole has played for England in this World Cup and at the age of 28, he still has lots to offer.
No. 35 Lassana Diarra
Current Club: Real Madrid
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Tottenham, Liverpool, and Manchester United.
Background: In his first year with Real Madrid after transferring from Portsmouth over the summer, Lassana Diarra found himself with less and less playing time as the season wore on.
Diarra missed the World Cup for France due to the diagnosis of asthenic syndrome.
No. 34 Sergio Agüero
Current Club: Atletico Madrid
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan.
Background: The son-in-law of Diego Maradona, Sergio Agüero helped Atletico Madrid win the first ever Europa League title and is now playing for his father-in-law in the World Cup.
With no Champions League football for Atletico Madrid next year, Agüero might leave town to play in the Champions League again.
No. 33 Mario Balotelli

Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: AC Milan, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
Background: A player who has been involved in lots of controversy while with Inter, Mario Balotelli could find himself out the Blue and Black of the Nerazzurri this summer.
But with the abuse of the Italian supporters, Balotelli might just leave Italy altogether and "restart" his career elsewhere.
No. 32 Steven Pienaar
Current Club: Everton
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Arsenal, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool.
Background: The main star on the South African side in this World Cup, Steven Pienaar might be able to leave Goodison Park to go elsewhere this summer.
Last year, Pienaar was fantastic for Everton and while he is trying to get a new contract, he might just leave.
No. 31 Neven Subotić
Current Club: Borussia Dortmund
Position: Defender
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
Background: A former United States U-20 international, Neven Subotić has grown into a fantastic young player with a great future in front of him.
Subotić can become a great central defender who is poised to move out of the German Bundesliga and into the Premier League.
No. 30 Diego López
Current Club: Villareal
Position: Goalkeeper
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Arsenal and Barcelona.
Background: The former backup keeper to Iker Casillas at Real Madrid and one of five goalkeepers in Spain’s provisional World Cup squad, Diego López is expected to possibly join Arsenal this summer.
Right now, López is only 28 years old and is a much-needed replacement to Manuel Almunia.
No. 29 Giuseppe Rossi
Current Club: Villarreal
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Napoli, Roma, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester City.
Background: Italian-American Giuseppe Rossi is regarded as one of the up-and-coming young Italians as they look to redeem themselves in Brazil at the 2014 World Cup.
Currently, Rossi plays with Villarreal but many believe that he will transfer out of Spain this summer.
No. 28 Giampaolo Pazzini
Current Club: Sampdoria
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Arsenal and Juventus.
Background: The player who had a major influence in Sampdoria clinching a Champions League qualifying berth, Giampaolo Pazzini might decide to leave Sampdoria and join former coach Gigi Del Neri at Juventus next year.
Being 25 years old, he could warrant a major transfer fee as he continues to progress as a footballer.
No. 27 Gary Cahill
Current Club: Bolton
Position: Defender
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Everton.
Background: After a great year this year, Gary Cahill could find himself leaving Bolton and heading elsewhere this summer.
Cahill is an extremely solid defender who will help out anyone who signs him.
No. 26 Gervinho
Current Club: Lille
Position: Winger/Forward
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Barcelona and Arsenal.
Background: One of the key players for the Ivory Coast in the World Cup, Gervinho appears to be the next big footballer to come out of the Ivory Coast.
Gervinho can be a very strong player who could help any side as he continues to mature.
No. 25 Nemanja Vidić
Current Club: Manchester United
Position: Defender
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Juventus, AC Milan, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.
Background: Maybe the best central defender in the world, Nemanja Vidić has really emerged as a great player in the last two years and was able to play in his first World Cup for Serbia this month.
Despite his wife's problems with Manchester, it will be interesting to see if Vidić will remain in England or go elsewhere.
No. 24 Landon Donovan
Current Club: Los Angeles Galaxy
Position: Winger
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester City, Chelsea, and Everton.
Background: The greatest American footballer of all time, Landon Donovan had a great World Cup for the USA and is poised to leave Major League Soccer and go to Europe.
Donovan now will have to chose where he will go after his great 10-week loan with Everton at the beginning of January.
No. 23 Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
Current Club: AC Milan
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Tottenham, Manchester United, Everton, and Arsenal.
Background: Now playing for the Dutch in the World Cup, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar had a sub-par year for AC Milan and is looking to move out of the San Siro.
It appears that he will be going to England, so now the chase for Huntelaar's services is on.
No. 22 Carlton Cole
Current Club: West Ham United
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Liverpool, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, and Everton.
Background: After a fantastic year with West Ham, it now appears that Carlton Cole will be heading out of Upton Park and going elsewhere.
Now the question is where will Cole go, as many people believed that he would already be a member of Arsenal by now.
No. 21 Hamit Altıntop
Current Club: Bayern Munich
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Tottenham, Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid, and Galatasaray.
Background: One of the best Turkish players in the world, Hamit Altıntop was able to have a solid year for Bayern Munich but may now leave as he looks to get in more first-team football.
And with sides from three different countries looking at him, it will be interesting to see where Altıntop ends up.
No. 20 Maicon
Current Club: Inter Milan
Position: Defender
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
Background: Maybe the best right back in the world, Maicon is expected to join Real Madrid within the next couple of days, but of course anything can happen.
Over the last year, Maicon was a major reason why Inter won the treble, and he will try to do that again with Jose Mourinho.
No. 19 James Milner
Current Club: Aston Villa
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester City and Chelsea.
Background: A member of the English national team in South Africa, James Milner had a great season with Aston Villa and it now appears that he could be leaving Villa Park this summer.
Overall, Milner is an extremely solid central midfielder, and will help out any side that he may join.
No. 18 Yaya Touré
Current Club: FC Barcelona
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Arsenal, Manchester City, Everton, and AC Milan.
Background: The brother of Manchester City’s Kolo Touré, Yaya Touré has been a major part of FC Barcelona's successes over the last several seasons but has now found himself out of favor with Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola.
He could be used in defense but he is a extremely solid midfielder.
No. 17 Kevin Prince Boateng
Current Club: Portsmouth
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester City, Lazio, and West Ham United.
Background: A starter for Ghana in the World Cup after leaving his native Germany, Kevin Prince Boateng has had a very solid World Cup as he looks to leave Portsmouth this summer.
Boateng is a player that wears his heart on his sleeve and at the age of 23, he will help out any side in the future.
No. 16 Cesc Fàbregas
Current Club: Arsenal
Position: Midfielder
Club Rumored he will Transfer to: FC Barcelona
Background: The captain of Arsenal and a member of the Spanish national side in the World Cup, Cesc Fabregas has been heavily linked to Barcelona in a summer transfer this summer.
Of course, Fàbregas is only 23 years old and he has been a lifelong fan of the Catalan side, so Fàbregas' "transfer" will be heavily followed by the media.
No. 15 Yoann Gourcuff
Current Club: Bordeaux
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
Background: Considered to be the "next Zidane," Frenchman Yoann Gourcuff was a part of the disappointing French side in the World Cup and was sent off in France's final match due to a high elbow.
However, Gourcuff is a great passer of the football and is an incredible talent also.
No. 14 Keisuke Honda
Current Club: CSKA Moscow
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Galatasaray and Chelsea
Background: The star of the Japanese squad that has had a great run in this World Cup, Keisuke Honda could find himself moving out of Russia and into a major Western European side by the end of the summer.
Honda was also able to have a great Champions League campaign for CSKA Moscow, and will help out any side he may join immensely.
No. 13 Michael Bradley
Current Club: Borussia Mönchengladbach
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Everton and Liverpool.
Background: The son of American coach Bob Bradley, Michael Bradley was able to have a great World Cup for the United States and is poised to make a major move to England away from his current German side Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Bradley is a midfielder who is extremely gritty and is great inside of the penalty box, both of which are great traits that the 22-year-old possesses.
No. 12 Alexis Sánchez
Current Club: Udinese
Position: Winger/Forward
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United, Liverpool, Lyon, and Chelsea.
Background: The star of the Chilean squad that reached the round of 16 in this summer's World Cup, Alexis Sánchez has been heavily linked to move out of Serie A and go to Manchester United for the last several days.
Overall, Sánchez is a great playmaker and was the primary reason why Chile were able to win their first World Cup matches since 1962.
No. 11 Luís Fabiano
Current Club: Sevilla
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Tottenham, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
Background: One of the top Brazilian players in this World Cup, Luís Fabiano has long been linked with a move away from Sevilla and into the Premier League.
Last summer, it was believed that Fabiano was to join Manchester United, but now the question will be where Fabiano will land as he will be likely moved.
No. 10 Luis Suárez
Current Club: Ajax
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Juventus, Manchester United, Barcelona, and Chelsea.
Background: One of the stars of the Uruguayan side that has reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup, Luis Suárez appears ready to be moved away from Ajax and into a bigger European side.
Suárez currently is the captain of Ajax, and has proven himself to be a great scorer with 49 goals this season.
No. 9 Thomas Müller
Current Club: Bayern Munich
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United and Chelsea.
Background: One of the young stars that is on the German side in this World Cup, Thomas Müller has already scored three goals and appears that he will now leave Bayern Munich to go elsewhere.
He has proven himself to be a future star and at the age of 20, he has an unlimited future.
No. 8 Marek Hamšík
Current Club: Napoli
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
Background: The star of the Slovakian side that was able to reach the round of 16 in the last World Cup, Marek Hamšík now is poised to leave Italy for England.
Last summer, it was rumored that Manchester United were after him, but now Chelsea and Man City will also be going for his services.
No. 7 Edin Džeko
Current Club: VfL Wolfsburg
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Chelsea, Manchester United, and AC Milan.
Background: The star striker on Wolfsburg, Edin Džeko appears ready to move out of the German Bundesliga and he may finally do it.
Džeko has the physical ablility to play in England, and he can also play anywhere with his great skill.
No. 6 Hugo Lloris
Current Club: Lyon
Position: Goalkeeper
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United and Arsenal.
Background: Considered to be the next big goalkeeper in world football, Hugo Lloris was able to have a great year with Lyon and has been expected to come to England.
Lloris was able to help get Lyon into the Champions League semifinal and was France's goalkeeper during their ill-fated World Cup run.
No. 5 David Silva
Current Club: Valencia
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, and Real Madrid.
Background: One of the best and most sought-after midfielders in the world, David Silva is expected to move away from cash-strapped Valencia this summer.
Silva is a member of the Spanish national side in this World Cup and a good World Cup will escalate his transfer value.
No. 4 Alexandre Pato
Current Club: AC Milan
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Background: An extremely talented young player with AC Milan, Alexandre Pato might have missed this World Cup for Brazil, but is still considered to be one of the best young players in the world.
Pato is one of the best players on AC Milan right now, and is expected to move early on in this transfer window.
No. 3 Mesut Özil
Current Club: Werder Breman
Position: Midfielder
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Inter Milan.
Background: The most recognizable new face in this World Cup, Mesut Özil has had a fantastic World Cup so far and has become the new face of the German national team.
Now, the playmaker is destined for a major move to a big European side as several clubs will find themselves in a bidding war for Özil's services.
No. 2 Zlatan Ibrahimović
Current Club: FC Barcelona
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Chelsea and Manchester City.
Background: One of the big signings from last summer, Zlatan Ibrahimović found himself to be on the bench more as the season wore on for Barcelona last year.
Now, it appears that he might leave Spain for England, a place where many have claimed he will fail, as he has never had success there in the Champions League.
No. 1 Fernando Torres
Current Club: Liverpool
Position: Striker
Clubs Rumored he will Transfer to: Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
Background: One of the top players in the world and one of the top players on Spain in this World Cup, Fernando Torres has been a major part of Liverpool throughout the last several years.
However, Torres' side in Liverpool are in a terrible financial situation and could find themselves forced to sell Torres in order to stay afloat.
