EPL Results Week 17: Saturday's 2016 Premier League Scores, Top Scorers, Table
Chelsea's dominance in the Premier League continued as they defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Diego Costa grabbed his 13th goal of the season to claim top spot in the goalscoring charts, as the Blues went nine points clear at the summit of the division.
Eden Hazard returned for the west London club after injury, but a yellow card for Costa means he will be suspended for the Boxing Day clash against Bournemouth.
Manchester United continued their excellent form, defeating West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at the Hawthorns. A brace from Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave the Red Devils the points, as the United players threw their shirts in the crowd at full-time after a brilliant display.
In the day's other games, Middlesbrough deconstructed a poor Swansea City, winning 3-0 in the north-east. Stoke City lost a two-goal lead to champions Leicester City, drawing 2-2 as Jamie Vardy saw red.
Sunderland and West Ham United collected 1-0 victories, beating Watford and Hull City, respectively.

Saturday Recap

Antonio Conte has only managed his side for a short period, but they are already a well-oiled outfit, unrecognisable from last year's shambles.
Crystal Palace are always a tough opponent on their own turf, but Chelsea defended with Italian precision, making Conte proud on the touchline.
A solitary goal from Costa was enough as Chelsea put distance between themselves and the chasing pack in the league, and the Blues will head into the new year as most punters' favourites.
The Spain international pounced just before half-time, launching himself into the air to meet Cesar Azpilicueta's floated cross.

Palace attempted to push through midfield, but Conte's continued use of a back three allowed them to soak up the pressure in the centre of the park.
Hazard returned to the side, after a knock kept him out of the Blues' last game, and the Belgian was dangerous but not at his predatory best.
In the day's other matches, Leicester fought back from a two-goal deficit against Stoke, as Vardy saw red for a dangerous challenge.

Bojan and Joe Allen gave the hosts a 2-0 lead, but the Foxes dug deep after Vardy's dismissal.
Leonardo Ulloa started the comeback with 16 minutes on the clock as his header crossed the line, and youngster Daniel Amartey completed the unlikely draw with only two minutes remaining.
Presenter Gary Lineker strongly objected to Vardy's red, and he highlighted the protests from the champions' bench:
United controlled their match against West Brom from the opening minute, as Jose Mourinho watched with satisfaction from the bench.
Ibrahimovic continued to be United's primary inspiration, and the Swedish icon led the line with physicality and finesse.
The veteran opened the scoring after heading home Jesse Lingard's precision cross after just five minutes.
The game was put to bed shortly before the hour mark, as the striker grabbed his second through a deflected shot.
The efforts place Ibrahimovic in third place in the scoring charts on 11 goals for the season.
Rob Dawson of the Manchester Evening News hailed the Old Trafford giants:

The United players celebrated with their noisy away fans at the end of the match, as the feel-good factor continues to build for the football club.
Mourinho's team are starting to look like contenders for a UEFA Champions League spot, and a holistic value is now evident through the playing squad.
Middlesbrough posted their most convincing performance of the season as they thrashed Swansea 3-0.
A brace from Alvaro Negredo and a strike by Marten de Roon wrapped up the points, with the south Wales club continuing to haemorrhage goals.
Sunderland edged out Watford at the Stadium of Light, beating the Hornets 1-0 with a goal from Patrick van Aanholt shortly after the break.
West Ham also won their encounter against Hull by a solitary goal. A penalty from Mark Noble was enough in east London.
