Recap

Karim Benzema scored twice to give defending champions Real Madrid a two-goal lead over BVB, but a spirited comeback from the Germansled by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reusensured Die Schwarzgelben of the top spot in their group.

The result means Dortmund will avoid the likes of Real, Barcelona, Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the round of 16, although there are still a ton of talented clubs that manager Thomas Tuchel and his troops could draw.

It also means Real will become one of the clubs the top finishers eligible to play the Spanish giants will hope to avoid. Bleacher Report UK couldn't help themselves:

Leicester City had already secured top spot in Group G, and the Premier League champions took the night off in Portugal, losing 5-0 against FC Porto.

Andre Silva was the top man with two goals, while Yacine Brahimi, Diogo Jota and Jesus Corona also got on the scoresheet. Bleacher Report UK believe Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri won't care too much about the result:

The Foxes haven't enjoyed too much domestic success so far this season and took full advantage of a relatively weak draw in the Champions League. They're arguably the weakest team on the winners' side of the draw and the one name top clubs on the other side will be targeting.

Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani provided the goals in a 2-0 win for Juventus over Zagreb, and with Sevilla and Lyon drawing in the other Group H match, the UEFA Europa League champions grabbed second place and a ticket for the next round.

After the match, Higuain said the Bianconeri have to keep up the good work, per Mediaset Premium (h/t Football Italia):

"

All strikers want to score goals and you can’t always do it, but I am happy that the goal arrived.

Recently I have been out of my comfort zone and the areas where I am accustomed to playing.

The prime objective was to reach the next round of the Champions League, the second to win the group and the third to be top of the Serie A table for Christmas with the Italian Super Cup.

We are on the right track and must continue like this.

"

Tottenham Hotspur's 3-1 win over CSKA Moscow means the English side will continue their European campaign in the Europa League, with Bayer Leverkusen and AS Monaco already assured of a spot in the next round of the Champions League heading into the final matchday.

Dele Alli and Harry Kane wiped out an early Alan Dzagoev goal, and Igor Akinfeev scored an own goal to put the final score on the board. Toby Alderweireld celebrated his return from injury.
