Champions League 2016: Live Stream, TV Schedule, Tuesday Qualifying Permutations

Rory MarsdenDec 5, 2016

The final round of group-stage fixtures in the 2016-17 UEFA Champions League gets under way on Tuesday, with little to play for outside of Group A and Group B.

Arsenal have a chance of pipping Paris Saint-Germain to the top spot in Group A, but both teams are already guaranteed their places in the last 16.

Group B is the most intriguing coming to a close on Tuesday, as Benfica, Napoli and Besiktas are separated by just a single point.

Group A

Paris Saint-Germain5320115611
Arsenal5320145911
Ludogorets Razgrad5023413-92
FC Basel502328-62

Due to their two away goals against Arsenal in the 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium, PSG hold the edge in the battle for the top spot.

They also face the more favourable final group match given that they host Ludogorets Razgrad at the Parc des Princes, while Arsenal face a tough trip to FC Basel.

The Ligue 1 giants will guarantee top spot with a win, but could even lose or draw and still qualify on top depending on Arsenal's result.

The only way the Gunners can leapfrog PSG is if they better the French side's result on Tuesday.

Group B

TeamPlayedWonDrawnLostGFGAGDPts
Benfica52219818
Napoli52219728
Besiktas51409817
Dynamo Kiev502326-42

In the closest group in this season's Champions League, third-placed Besiktas are arguably in the best position as they know a win at bottom club Dynamo Kiev will put them through to the last 16.

In such a scenario, a Benfica victory in Lisbon against Napoli would put them through, but a draw would see the Italians advance.

Besiktas can even go through if they draw, as long as Benfica beat Napoli, but a win for the Serie A club will require a victory from the Istanbul outfit.

Group C

Barcelona54011641212
Manchester City522111928
Borussia Monchengladbach512258-35
Celtic5023415-112

The final positions in Group C have already been decided. Barcelona are group winners and, despite being only three points ahead of Borussia Monchengladbach, Manchester City have wrapped up second spot due to their head-to-head record.

The same is true in the battle for third and fourth and qualification to the UEFA Europa League.

Celtic are three points back from the German side, but even a victory over City at the Etihad Stadium paired with a defeat for Gladbach by Barca would not change the standings.

Group D

TeamPlayedWonDrawnLostGFGAGDPts
Atletico Madrid550071615
Bayern Munich530213679
FC Rostov5113612-64
PSV Eindhoven5014411-71

Bayern Munich against Atletico Madrid at the Allianz Arena should be an excellent clash, but it will have no bearing on the Group D standings.

Following five victories, Atleti are guaranteed top spot, while Bayern will have to settle for second and a potentially tricky last-16 draw.

In the clash to decide third place, PSV Eindhoven could leapfrog FC Rostov if they win at home and move on to the same points as the Russian outfit, as the reverse fixture ended in a 2-2 draw.
