Costa also scored in the win over Manchester City, leaving both men on 11 goals scored. It was a good day for most of the Premier League's top scorers, with the likes of Jermain Defoe, Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and Christian Benteke all finding the net.

Recap

City and Chelsea went head-to-head in Saturday's early fixture, and after an initial setback in the form of a Gary Cahill own goal, the Blues righted the ship to continue their win streak.

Costa tied things up and Willian gave his side the lead, before Hazard secured all three points with a late strike. As shared by Bleacher Report UK, the club's top scorer has been on fire this season:

The match ended in chaos, with both Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho seeing red cards in a late fracas. Aguero had one of his worst outings of the season, missing several good chances before the late sending off. His pending suspension will further harm his chances of winning the top scorer's title.

The standout scorer of the matchday was undoubtedly Sanchez, who scored three wonderful goals in Arsenal's easy win over West Ham. As shared by BT Sport Football, he claimed the match ball:

Sanchez also grabbed an assist on the opening goal, allowing Mesut Ozil to easily convert from close range. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Andy Carroll also got on the scoresheet.

North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur also found the net five times on Saturday, beating Swansea City. Kane scored two of the goals, but he seemed more interested in Tiger Woods' comeback after the match:

Christian Eriksen contributed two goals of his own, and Heung-Min Son completed the scoring.

In South London, birthday boy Benteke bagged a brace to lead Crystal Palace to a much-needed win over Southampton. One of his two strikes came after a horrendous blunder from goalkeeper Fraser Forster, per England international Gary Lineker:

James Tomkins continued his remarkable season, scoring in the 3-0 win.

Defoe doubled Sunderland's lead over defending champions Leicester City in the eventual 2-1 win. Robert Huth gifted the Black Cats the lead with an own goal, and Shinji Okazaki's late effort wasn't enough to turn the tide for the Foxes.

Stoke City grabbed a solid win over Burnley, and West Bromwich Albion continued their remarkable scoring run with a 3-1 win over Watford.
