Hercules vs. Barcelona: 2016 Spanish Copa Del Rey Leg 1 Live Stream, TV Info
Barcelona travel down Spain's west coast to Alicante for the first leg of their Copa del Rey round-of-32 clash against Hercules on Wednesday, where manager Luis Enrique's side are chasing a return to winning ways.
The Blaugrana drew 1-1 at Real Sociedad on Sunday to fall six points adrift of La Liga leaders Real Madrid, but victory in the domestic tournament could give fans swift reason to feel more upbeat about the campaign.
A big win will be expected of Barcelona if they're to ensure the simplest route into the round of 16, although Enrique can ill afford to rest too many players and risk the result.

Messi Among Potential Absentees
As if Sunday's draw at the Estadio Anoeta wasn't disappointing enough, Barcelona have been hit with the news that Lionel Messi could be an injury doubt for Wednesday's clash.
The Argentinian didn't train on Monday, per AS, while Sport confirmed in May that Andres Iniesta and Javier Mascherano won't feature due to suspension following last season's final:
It's worth noting Messi may not have been in line to start against Hercules in any case given their next opponents won't be considered the most terrifying of foes. However, it's a blow for Enrique and Co. nonetheless.
Left-back Jordi Alba and central defender Gerard Pique also didn't train on Monday, per AS, and the latter insisted improvements will be needed if Barca are to return to winning ways, per Movistar Plus (h/t Angels Fabregues of Sport):
"La Real were superior, in terms of how the game unfolded but above all in terms of attitude. We didn’t show up in the first half. In the second half we improved, but [playing like that] it will be difficult to win La Liga.
There are few times you can say this, but it was a good point. Sometimes you can win a game losing [your] style of play a bit, but it’s the attitude which is more worrying. La Real have produced a great performance, pressing high.
"
Iniesta's suspension means little considering the midfielder is injured in any case, but if Pique, Mascherano and the injured Samuel Umtiti are absent, Enrique faces a dilemma in who to play at centre-back.
Barcelona need a quick return to form in order to ease the minds of their fans and restore some morale, but squad absences ahead of a midweek trip doesn't bode all too well.
Can Hercules Hit Barca While They're Down?

The big positive for Hercules is that Barca appear to be on the ropes following their recent draw. The drawback is that Wednesday's hosts are also struggling for form after losing their last two games.
Nevertheless, Opta Sports editor Jamie Kemp pointed out an alarming anomaly in Barca's performance against La Real that suggested Enrique's men are not their usual selves:
Among Hercules' ranks is Albert Dalmau, who once trained in Barca's La Masia academy before leaving for pastures new in 2011, and the full-back told EFE (h/t AS) he's relishing the prospect of suiting up against his former club:
"I don't see it as a bad time for us to meet Barcelona - quite the opposite. The sooner, the better in my opinion because it will give us the chance to react. We're not in the best moment but this game will give us a chance to recover some of the confidence we've lost, by putting in a good job on Wednesday night, we can build for the future.
"
Hercules will require a performance of mythical proportions in order to beat the Blaugrana over two legs, but a home triumph on Wednesday may not be as far out of reach as some would suggest.
The Segunda Division B team are sixth in Group 3 and have won just twice in their last seven outings, but the pressure will be off their shoulders in midweek as the Liga champions come to Alicante.
