Tuesday Recap

Kazaiah Sterling's 53rd-minute goal appeared to have set Spurs on their way to victory against Monaco, but two goals in five minutes broke north London hearts in the south of France.

An own goal from Spurs skipper Anton Walkes gave Les Rouges et Blancs the equaliser after 63 minutes, allowing 16-year-old Moussa Sylla to lash home the winner.

The defeat leaves the Lilywhites rooted to the bottom of Group E after losing three matches in the competition.

It was a bad day for English competitors as Leicester were narrowly defeated at home by Brugge.

The Belgium team took a comprehensive lead in the first half as a brace from striker Dennis van Vaerenbergh gave them a 2-0 advantage.

Singa Joel Ito struck after 53 minutes to hand Brugge the points, effectively killing the fixture, but the Foxes staged a comeback as they almost grabbed an unlikely point.

Goals from Admiral Muskwe and Calvin Ughelumba brought the hosts back into contention, but the damage had already been done.

Real were once again impressive on their travels, dismantling Sporting to win 3-1 away from home.

Paraguayan sensation Sergio Diaz gave Los Blancos the early lead after seven minutes, and Manu Hernando added a second shortly before the half-time break.

Argentinian Franchu completed the victory in the 73rd minute before the hosts grabbed a consolation effort through Daniel Braganca.

Juve made little fuss of their encounter with Sevilla, defeating the Andalusia giants 2-0. Old Lady captain Luca Clemenza opened the scoring after four minutes, and Swiss striker Andi Zeqiri made sure of the points just after the hour mark.

There were also wins for CSKA Moscow, Lyon and Copenhagen as they defeated Bayer Leverkusen, Dinamo Zagreb and Porto, respectively.

Borussia Dortmund and Legia Warsaw played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in Germany, as Polish talent Sebastian Szymanski stole a late point for the visitors.

The campaign has been a disaster for Spurs' youth team, and they have been short in Europe's premier competition for the age group.

Mauricio Pochettino would have expected his young guns to fare much better against the sides in their group, but they have suffered with a lack of predatory ruthlessness in matches.

Leicester have also appeared out of their depth in the tournament, and it seems they will finish last in Group G after a dismal showing.
