Recap
Most viewers tuning in for Monday's Premier League clash probably weren't expecting to see an attacking, free-flowing West Brom squad. Bleacher Report UK were among the many, not particularly enthusiastic fans:
Their apathy didn't last long, however. The hosts came out with plenty of attacking intentions, and it took Matthew Phillips just five minutes to open the scoring.
The Baggies kept pushing up the pitch and securing the ball in a hurry, and Burnley had no answers―the visitors didn't even fire a shot on target in the first half. James Morrison doubled the lead after just 16 minutes, and Darren Fletcher completed the first-half Scottish hat-trick.
Per Matt Wilson of the Express & Star, the home fans loved what they were seeing:
West Brom took their foot off the gas slightly after the break, but there was still time for Jose Salomon Rondon to add a fourth goal.
Former England international Gary Lineker warned manager Pulis:
The win moves West Brom up to ninth place in the standings, roughly the type of position where most fans will hope to finish the season. Pulis' troops have been a solid, well-organised squad that usually shines in defence so far this season―it's nice to see such a surprising offensive display.

Chelsea became sole leaders in the standings in Week 12 with a close but deserved 1-0 win over Middlesbrough. Diego Costa once again took care of the scoring, blasting home from close range after the defence failed to deal with a corner.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who barely had to flash his talent, was satisfied with the result and performance:
The Blues took advantage of Liverpool's scoreless draw against Southampton to grab the lead and a one-point advantage in the standings. Things remain very tight at the top, however.
Manchester City grabbed a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace thanks to a brace from Yaya Toure, and the Citizens are tied on points with the Reds, one down on Chelsea. Arsenal chase the duo by just two points, courtesy of their 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
Even Tottenham Hotspur aren't too far back, trailing the Blues by just four points following their last-minute win over West Ham United. Harry Kane was once again the hero with a brace, and he was ecstatic after the match:
At the bottom of the standings, Swansea grabbed a point at Everton, while Sunderland beat Hull City 3-0. Both teams edge a little closer to the cluster of teams in front of them, with 13th-placed Stoke City sitting just five points ahead of the Black Cats.
