Neymar Appears to Shove Ruben Vezo Down Stairs Before Reported Tunnel Clash

Rory MarsdenOct 31, 2016

Barcelona star Neymar reportedly clashed in the tunnel with Granada's Ruben Vezo after the two sides' La Liga meeting on Saturday, and video footage appears to show the Brazilian forward pushing the defender down some steps at the Camp Nou.

According to Luis F. Rojo of Marca, after Neymar and Vezo, 22, locked horns late in Barca's 1-0 win and both received bookings, the duo scuffled and traded insults in the tunnel following the final whistle, "but the matter passed off without any further incident."

They were clearly still conversing as they left the pitch, and video appears to show 24-year-old Neymar pushing Portuguese Vezo:

Rafinha was the sole goalscorer in the match, with his strike just after half-time earning Barca all three points to move them into second in La Liga, two points back from Real Madrid.

The first Clasico of the 2016-17 season takes place in early December, with Barcelona hosting Los Blancos at the Camp Nou on Dec. 3.

In the meantime, manager Luis Enrique's Blaugrana side face Sevilla, Malaga and Real Sociedad in La Liga.

Per Sport's Esther Blasco, Neymar will need to be well-behaved ahead of a potentially crucial Clasico, as, along with Luis Suarez, he is close to picking up a suspension.

His booking against Granada was his third of the season in La Liga, so another two yellow cards and he will be handed an automatic one-game suspension.

Neymar's altercation with Vezo is not something Enrique will want to see repeated in the lead-up to the Real clash.

Per the Mirror's Thomas Bristow, it's not thought that any action will be taken against Neymar and Vezo following their tunnel bust-up.

But Neymar will need to keep his head in upcoming matches to legislate against any possible ban.
