Atletico Madrid Stunt Bayern Progress
Carlo Ancelotti has been without fault since taking over at the Bayern Munich helm this summer, winning five matches from five in the Bundesliga and leading his new club to the summit of Group D in the Champions League.
However, Atletico are sure to pose stiff opposition in their role as hosts this Wednesday despite already drawing three times in La Liga this season. Yahoo's Andrew Gaffney has seen the positives behind their stutters so far:
Bayern collected their fifth win of the Bundesliga campaign on Saturday after they defeated Hamburg away from home, but the result was marred by an injury to centre-back Mats Hummels.
The defender limped off early in the second half at theĀ Volksparkstadion, but he has since taken to Twitter to reassure fans there's a chance he could be back fit for Wednesday's fixture:
Hummels would be a significant loss for Ancelotti, but the fact he can still call upon the likes of Jerome Boateng and Javi Martinez in defence showcases the kind of depth that makes Bayern so dangerous.
That being said, Atleti have really started to hit form of late and are benefiting greatly from Antoine Griezmann's return to near his best, while Bayern are yet to really be tested so far this season.
Prediction: Atletico Madrid 2-1 Bayern Munich
Dortmund Land Home Blow Against Real

Dortmund and Real Madrid have made a habit of coming up against one another in European competition of late, and 2016-17 will be the fourth time in the last six seasons they've made contact (twice in 2012-13).
Tuesday's meeting promises to be a high-quality affair, too; Squawka outlined the pair as two of the most creative sides in action after they both clinched first-round wins in Group F:
The Black and Yellows will sense weakness in their midweek opposition, too, considering Los Blancos come into Tuesday's group meeting on the back of Saturday's 2-2 draw at Las Palmas.
That being said, ESPN FC writer Stefan Buczko suggested manager Zinedine Zidane might have been saving his best assets for Tuesday's trip to Dortmund:
It's been more than a fortnight since manager Thomas Tuchel saw his side slip to a 1-0 defeat to RB Leipzigātheir only loss of the season so farāwhereas Real are still recovering from Saturday's dropped points.
With Dortmund flying high and Real on the ropes, Los Merengues could have a difficult campaign cut out for them if they fail to find form in Germany this Tuesday, and Dortmund won't let them find it easily.
Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Real Madrid
