Leganes vs. Barcelona

Barcelona surprisingly became the first title contender to slip up this season when they lost at home to Alaves on Saturday, though it should be noted that Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez both started the game on the bench.

The pair were restored to the starting XI on Tuesday when Barca faced Celtic in the Champions League. Alongside Neymar for 90 minutes for the first time this campaign, they ran riot, as Squawka Football revealed:

Football journalist Rafael Hernandez hailed the trio and singled out the Brazilian for praise in particular:

Neymar reflected on the chemistry he enjoys with his team-mates up front, per the Blaugrana's official Twitter feed:

Having hit the ground running upon their full reunion, the trio will most likely inspire Barca to return to winning ways in LaLiga and regain their momentum in the title race.

Leganes have made a modest start to their campaign and suffered their first defeat last time out also, narrowly losing 2-1 to Gijon.

They had been fairly solid at the back prior to that game, keeping clean sheets in their first two, but a comprehensive victory for Barca looks to be on the cards here.

Atletico Madrid vs. Sporting Gijon

After kickstarting their LaLiga campaign with a 4-0 win last time out, Atletico will be looking to continue their resurgence against Gijon.

Antoine Griezmann will be vital to their efforts once again after playing a key role in beating Celta Vigo, per Kieran Canning of the Agence France-Presse:

While Los Rojiblancos boast a wealth of talent, the Frenchman is undoubtedly one of their most important performers. A similar showing from Griezmann would give Atletico an excellent chance of securing all three points.

Despite their underwhelming start, Diego Simeone's side have been resolute defensively—a hallmark of the Argentinian's tenure at the Vicente Calderon, per Squawka Football:

They will need to be so against Sporting, who have enjoyed a surprisingly strong start to their season with two wins and a draw in their three games thus far.

Gijon are capable of causing Atletico problems, particularly thanks to striker Duje Cop, who has notched two goals and an assist in their three matches.

However, Los Rojiblancos should have enough to see out a win here, particularly as they're at home.
