MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - MAY 01: Robert Huth of Leicester City competes with Anthony Martial of Manchester United during the Barclays Premier League match between Manchester United and Leicester City at Old Trafford on May 1, 2016 in Manchester, United King

The Foxes remain the clear favourites to win the Premier League title, despite Sunday’s draw, with the title celebrations now likely to take place in Leicester. If Spurs lose points against Chelsea on Monday, the battle will be over, and if not, the Foxes can take care of business at home against Everton.

Either way, things are looking good for Leicester after Sunday’s drama-filled clash, which saw Anthony Martial and Wes Morgan score, several controversial incidents go unpunished and a late penalty claim for the hosts.

Danny Drinkwater was sent off for a second bookable offence after mulling back Memphis Depay on the edge of the penalty box, but the ball did not go on the spot. Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News thought it was a dreadful decision:

Per to United manager Louis van Gaal, there were more incidents worth pointing out, via Sky Sports News HQ:

That incident in question involved Marouane Fellaini and Robert Huth, where the latter appeared to pull the former’s hair, and the Belgian reacted by throwing an elbow at the defender.

He’ll likely be suspended for the incident, as the official didn’t punish either player but it was caught on camera.

Drinkwater will be suspended for Leicester’s Week 37 clash with Everton, but star forward Jamie Vardy will return, which would only add to the Foxes’ chances of beating the Toffees should Spurs take care of business on Monday.

Tottenham Hotspur will be without one of their most important players the rest of the way, as Dele Alli’s season is over following a three-match ban, and given Spurs’ dreadful record at Stamford Bridge, it seems only a matter of time before the Foxes lift the Premier League title.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s chances of grabbing a ticket for next year’s UEFA Europa League took a big blow, as the Reds lost 3-1 to Swansea City in Wales. Jack Cork stole the show with a brace, while Brad Smith was sent off.

But similar to City, who lost to Southampton 4-2 later on Sunday, the Reds appeared to have their minds on their midweek fixture. Villarreal will travel to Anfield with a 1-0 lead on Thursday, with the winner qualifying for the final of the Europa League. The winner of that final will qualify directly for the Champions League.

City left the likes of Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany on the bench or out of the squad in their defeat against Southampton, but with a date with La Liga giants Real Madrid on the schedule, the loss will be the least of manager Manuel Pellegrini’s concerns.
