Jurgen Klopp Belittled by Sam Allardyce After Police Defuse Mamadou Sakho Row
Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has labelled Liverpool counterpart Jurgen Klopp a "soft German" following his raging reaction to Jeremain Lens' mistimed tackle on Reds defender Mamadou Sakho.
Klopp was clearly incensed after Lens caught Sakho high on his right leg, but Allardyce criticised the former Borussia Dortmund manager after police were forced to step in and diffuse the touchline spat, per the Daily Mail's Craig Hope:
"He’s a soft German if he thinks that’s a red. It’s a yellow, it’s a foul. There was then some foul and abusive language towards my staff that I did not like. But we shook hands afterwards and that’s what you’ve got to do."

Christian Benteke scored the only goal as Liverpool came away from the Stadium of Light with a 1-0 victory, lifting the Reds up to seventh, while the Black Cats have now suffered five losses on the trot.
Klopp's outburst wasn't the only thing Allardyce was disappointed with, after the Sunderland boss insisted the goal Benteke finished was "lucky," per Sky Sports Audio:
Allardyce isn't the only manager with whom Klopp has had a disagreement since arriving in the Premier League, clashing with Crystal Palace chief Alan Pardew and West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis.
Speaking to German newspaper Bild earlier in the week, Klopp confessed "duels are more intense" in England than in the Bundesliga (h/t Goal's Stefan Coerts), and Wednesday's showdown appeared to back up his theory.
