Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski both found the back of the net in the second half as Arsenal beat West Ham 3-1 on Tuesday at Emirates Stadium.
The Hammers had opened the scoring in the 40th minute through Matt Jarvis, but Podolski levelled matter shortly before the restart.

Szczesny: Was helpless to prevent the rebound that allowed Jarvis to open the scoring.
Sagna: Combining nicely at times with both Rosicky and Cazorla.
Mertesacker: Made an early, important block on Diame.
Koscielny: Perhaps a surprise starter following his quick return from injury.
Vermaelen: Has applied good pressure on Carroll but was well beaten by Nocerino in the buildup to the Jarvis goal.

Cazorla: Picked out Podolski with a lovely pass for the equaliser.

Szczesny: Had only a single save to make on the night.
Sagna: He had 87 touches and distributed the ball masterfully from the right.
Mertesacker: Passes from defense were good, and he threw himself into several blocks.
Koscielny: Looked a bit rusty at times in his return from injury.
Vermaelen: Delivered the cross for Giroud’s winner.
Arteta: The Spaniard touched the ball 90 times and completed 93% of his passes.
Kallstrom: At the final whistle he had more touches than anyone else in his full debut.
Rosicky: Useful in attack before making way for Ramsey.
Cazorla: Picked up an assist and was generally the best attacker on the pitch.
Podolski: Scored a superb brace and played the full 90 minutes.
Giroud: Controlled Vermaelen’s difficult cross expertly before slotting past Adrian.
Ramsey: Leaned backward to head the ball into Podolski’s path for the German’s second.
Jenkinson: Was brought on to help wrap things up in the final minutes.
Half-Time analysis for West Ham
Adrian: Had a pair of saves to make in the first half.
Demel: Distribution has been poor, and he’s struggled opposite Podolski and Cazorla.
Tomkins: Passes out of the defense have been lacking in accuracy.
Reid: Has so far won all of his aerial battles.
Armero: Adding a useful attacking presence from the left.
Noble: Has contributed three tackles on the defensive side of the ball.
Nocerino: Powered into the goalmouth with the ball ahead of the Jarvis opener.
Downing: His errant pass allowed Arsenal to level the scoring.
Diame: Had an absolutely blazing start that caught the Gunners off guard.
Jarvis: Made an instinctive run into the box for his headed goal.
