Anย extensive amount of behind the scenes work, several months of military-style planningย and an incredibly large and well trainedย ex-SAS security unit was put in to place to ensure the writer'sย identities remained a secret throughout the campaign.
The chosen subject was the January transfer window and the unknown writers had to submit their views on the controversial issue in anyway they felt most passionate about.

Luckilyย the twoย Bleacherย regularsย offered up arguments for and against keeping the mid-seasonย transfer windowย and both articles were, as expected, packed with quality.
Unfortunately there can only be one winner.
Article No.1 finished in second place with 18.8 percent of the vote and was written by Maire Ofiere.
Article No.2 finished in first place with 81.3 percent of the vote and was written by David Gore.
Congratulations to David for his title-winning article which has been crowned the very first A.A.C winner. Commiserations to Maire for her cuttingย piece which, despite coming in as runner-up,ย oozesย the personalityย of her much loved Bleacher work.
