While many fans always focus on how great their club looks on the pitch in their kit, there is a deeper element of the crest that the club represents everywhere off the pitch as well.

A uniform only reaches so far, but the everlasting symbol, logo or crest is what represents a club for its entire existence. It may be redesigned and changed around over the ages but it is the crest that is more important than any uniform design that a club will ever put on.

However, if it is going to be the face of your club everywhere in the world, you might as well design a stylish crest and here are 15 of the world's greatest crests; designed to make gain the love of the fans, and the envy of other fans.
