Cowboys vs. Buccaneers: Dallas Will Fade in Final 2 Games to Lose NFC East
Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys control their own destiny in the NFC East. They moved one step closer to a playoff berth with a 31-15 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday night.
However, the Cowboys will fade in the final two games of the season to blow their playoff chances in classic Cowboys style.
Dallas only has them to blame for being in this waffled position. This was the year when the Cowboys were supposed to win the division and make some noise in the postseason. Sounds like every year, actually.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
They had the perfect midseason schedule to truly make noise. Dallas almost came out of the six-game swing unscathed until they fell on the road to Arizona, 19-13. Teams that expect to win divisions should defeat a team like the 6-7 Cardinals.
Unacceptable.
Well, at least they still play the New York Giants at home so everything is peachy, right? No.
Dallas gave up 37 points and a double-digit fourth-quarter lead with five minutes left to fall to Eli Manning and the Giants. Really?
It seems like every time Dallas reels, Romo makes a crucial mistake, the defense gives up 37 points or head coach Jason Garrett doesn’t use Romo or his timeouts appropriately.
So what makes you believe that we won’t see the same thing? Dallas controls their own destiny because of their final game at the Giants in Week 17. A win in that game coupled with a win against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16 and the Cowboys would be back in the postseason.
Are you reeled in? You shouldn’t be.
Week 16 will be Philadelphia’s Super Bowl.
They brought over a “dream team” that was looking forward to a playoff run but that hasn’t been the case. With as much talent as the Eagles have, we shouldn’t be shocked if they showed up in Dallas to destroy their rival’s hopes of making the postseason.
Philadelphia is coming off an impressive 26-10 victory at Miami, a team that has been hot since Matt Moore took over the quarterback position. The Eagles grabbed nine sacks in the game, Michael Vick is back and LeSean McCoy has continued to be a touchdown machine, scoring in every game but one this season.
McCoy destroyed the Cowboys for 185 yards and two touchdowns in their first meeting. This was when the Dallas rush defense was at their peak this season.
Vick was close to flawless throwing for 279 yards and two touchdowns.
Philadelphia is going to bring every gadget play, every blitz package and is going to be extremely unpredictable on offense against the Cowboys because it will be their Super Bowl. Winning the game and destroying the Cowboys’ aspirations of postseason play is now priority No. 1.
This division is going to come down to the final weekend—which it should. The Giants and Cowboys will play for the crown on New Year’s Day.
Romo was fantastic in their first meeting, throwing for four touchdowns to zero interceptions. But, when the game was on the line, Manning was the quarterback that made the winning plays.
Give me Manning, a Super Bowl MVP, over Romo in a one-game situation. I’ll trust the Giants defense to make a few more plays than the Cowboys defense, even if they are statistically worse.
The Giants will edge the Cowboys for the NFC East crown.
We have seen it happen with the Cowboys for several years now. They have only won one playoff game since Romo has been the starter. Every time they have naysayers on the line they yank it from them.
Don’t allow them to fool you once again. Dallas will fall in the final two games, destroying their postseason hopes.
