Scott Hall: Once a Champion Oozing Machismo, Now a Sad Tale
At different times in his career, Scott Hall was known as “the Diamond Studd, Texas Scott, Starship Coyote and Razor Ramon.” Most famously, Scott was known as “the Bad Guy” and someone that “oozed machismo”. He was the person who helped revolutionize a dying business in the late '90s, with the help of his best friend Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan.
That was a long time ago, because now, Scott is no longer oozing machismo nor is he the bad guy. Right now Scott Hall’s life is a nightmare.
Scott Hall is a broken former wrestler who is dealing with substance abuse issues that have sent him into rehab a number of times.

According to Stephanie McMahon,WWE executive vice president of creative development and operations, who was interviewed for ESPN’s E:60 about Hall, WWE was paying for Scott’s six-figure rehab bills.
“It's the most amount of money we've spent on anyone," she said. "I just want Scott to get help and to decide for himself that he needs help. It makes me sad. I don't want anybody to pass away, prematurely or otherwise really. Scott was an incredibly talented performer, larger than life, charismatic. He's a father, he's a friend. I'm sure he means a lot to a lot of people and it would be a shame for him to pass away."
Scott is just another case in what is a growing trend of retired wrestlers who abused their bodies by taking bumps, performing every night and overindulging in pills, booze, and whatever else would numb the pain.
The pro wrestling business has seen a lot of their performers die way too young. It’s something that wrestling takes a black eye for, as numerous deaths have happened because of overdoses from pain medication or mixing medications and alcohol.
Scott is getting a chance, because his friends and former employers love him and want to see him get better.
Scott is trying as well, as when he had the chance to appear at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to see his friend Shawn Michaels get inducted, he turned down the appearance request, due to not wanting to be around parties and other triggers.
Scott’s tale is a sad one and is far away from his glory days of the '90s.
However, Scott has a chance to turn his life around and make his life once again, like his catchphrase from his time in the New World Order, “toooooo sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.”
