Three Players to Get into Your Fantasy Football Lineup in Week 6
If you are struggling to find suitable starters this week, our “Fantasy Football Start ‘Ems” for Week 6 will help you identify which players it’s worth taking that risk on during the dreaded bye weeks.
Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers) vs. Jacksonville
Roethlisberger went 24-of-34 for 228 yards and five touchdowns with one interception against the Tennessee Titans last week, as he was able to shake off a foot injury and had his most productive game of the season.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He is unlikely to throw for five touchdowns again in Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have been around the middle of the pack against opposing passers so far this season. That said, they have allowed at least 13 fantasy points (ESPN scoring) to opposing quarterbacks in every game this season, along with multiple touchdown passes in three of five games.
If running back Rashard Mendenhall (hamstring) is out or limited again this week, Big Ben may be relied upon to throw the ball frequently in the red zone as he did last week. As long as he remains on track to play on Sunday, and there are no signs he won’t be ready to go, Roethlisberger is a very good option as a QB1 for Week 6.
Felix Jones (Dallas Cowboys) at New England
Jones suffered a dislocated shoulder in Week 2 against the San Francisco 49ers but was active the following two weeks and totaled 172 yards on 30 carries in that span. He hopefully has used Dallas’ Week 5 bye to get healthy just in time for a favorable matchup this week against the New England Patriots.
New England has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points (19.8 per game) to opposing running backs this season, including the most receptions (42) and receiving yards (385) allowed to the position.
Jones is the Cowboys’ most versatile running back, with 12 receptions and 16 targets this season, so he should see plenty of action as a pass catcher as the Dallas offense tries to keep pace with the Patriots’ prolific offense.
Jones is a solid high end RB2 in standard leagues for Week 6 and could even make for a solid RB1 in PPR leagues.
Santonio Holmes (New York Jets) vs. Miami
Holmes had four catches for 60 yards and a touchdown against the New England Patriots in Week 5 as he reversed a downward trend in his production. Even if the Jets try to commit to running the ball more going forward, Holmes looks to be the Jets wide receiver to own in fantasy football ahead of a favorable matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6.
The Dolphins have allowed 25.5 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, the sixth-highest total in the league, including at least 150 yards to the position in three of their four games. It’s safe to say if not for their Week 5 bye Miami would rank even worse against opposing wide receivers than it does in terms of receptions and yards.
Holmes has not produced at a high level yet this season, but he is a good bet to be productive for a second straight game and is a solid choice as a WR1 this week.
