Michael Vick Injury: Eagles QB's Hand Should Be of No Concern to Fantasy Owners
Despite leaving the last two games with various injuries, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is expected to start against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Some fantasy owners may be wary of the injury-prone Vick, but he should be started with confidence.
First and foremost, Vick's hand contusion is on his right hand, so the only way it could limit him is in taking snaps. His throwing won't be compromised in the least. Also, he is fully recovered from the concussion he suffered against the Atlanta Falcons two weeks ago.
One would think that Vick and the Eagles will be thirsty for revenge after back-to-back losses to the Falcons and the New York Giants. At 2-1 the 49ers have gotten off to a good start, but they have yet to face a team as talented as Philadelphia.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Eagles were touted as one of the NFL's best teams entering the season thanks to high-profile signings like cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha and defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins. Many are beginning to question the teams validity after a slow start, though.
The Eagle offense was extremely strong during the season's first two weeks, but with Vick out or compromised by injury, it lacks explosiveness. Even if Vick isn't feeling 100 percent this week, he will want to prove that he deserves the $100 million contract he received prior to the regular season.
Vick had injury issues as well last season, but when he played, he was absolutely dominant, and he averaged more fantasy points per game than any player by an extremely wide margin. With that said, regardless of how worried you may be about Vick's injury problems, he is an automatic start when he is in the lineup.
Also, don't be scared away by San Francisco's good defensive stats thus far. They have wins over two of the league's worst teams in the Seattle Seahawks and Cincinnati Bengals with Tarvaris Jackson and Andy Dalton as their quarterbacks.
In the one game in which they played a real offense, an injured Tony Romo threw for over 300 yards and led the Dallas Cowboys to a win.
Provided the Eagles are committed to proving their naysayers wrong, Vick is in for a big game. The Philadelphia offense may have struggled against the Giants last week, but an offense with Vick, LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin can't be held down for long.
On Sunday, Vick will prove that he is over his ailments and the Eagles will prove why they are still one of the NFL's most dangerous teams.
Projection: 250 passing yards, 75 rushing yards and four total touchdowns
