UFC 130 Fight Card Graphics: Custom Pictures for Rampage-Hamill and Each Fight

Nick CaronMay 24, 2011

The finalized fight card is out for UFC 130 and I'm back to provide fight fans with customized graphics for each bout on this pay-per-view event.

While the UFC has released its official poster featuring the light heavyweight main event of Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Matt "The Hammer" Hamill, they do not provide individualized graphics for all ten of the bouts.

These graphics are each equipped with the Bleacher Report MMA section's stamp, but can be used on other websites provided that the user links back to Bleacher Report MMA's coverage of UFC 130. Higher-resolution versions of the graphics are also available for download

Without further ado, let's get to the finalized fight card and graphics for each fight!

Renan Barao vs. Cole Escovedo

Story:
Fellow UFC newcomers, Cole Escovedo and Renan Barao will be looking to make an impression on their new organization.

Escovedo is coming off of a first-round submission win over Steven Siler, but had lost back-to-back contests to Michael McDonald and Michihiro Omigawa prior to that.

Barao is 25-1 in his MMA career with his only loss coming in his debut back in April 2005. Since that night, he has reeled off 25 straight victories.

Michael McDonald vs. Chris Cariaso

Story:
Michael McDonald replaces an injured Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto in this bantamweight contest. McDonald fought to a Fight of the Night bonus in his most recent fight in March against Edwin Figueroa, eventually winning the bout by unanimous decision.

Cariaso dropped his final WEC fight to Renan Barao last December, but made a successful debut at UFC: Fight For the Troops 2 where he defeated Will Campuzano.

Gleison Tibau vs. Rafaello Oliveira

Fight:
Gleison Tibau vs. Rafaello Oliveira

Weight class:
Lightweight

Where to Watch:

Story:
An odd string of injuries has put this fight together. It was originally scheduled to be Cody McKenzie vs. Bart Palaszewski, but McKenzie was injured and replaced by Gleison Tibau.

Palaszewski himself was later injured, causing the UFC to replace him with the returning Rafaello Oliveira.

Oliveira, now on a four-fight win streak, is making his return to the UFC after dropping two of his three fights with the organization from 2009-10.

Tibau is a long-time UFC veteran who has struggled to make a push into the top of the division, but holds wins over Kurt Pellegrino, Josh Neer, Jeremy Stephens and Rich Clementi.

Fight:
Kendall Grove vs. Tim Boetsch

Weight class:
Middleweight

Where to Watch:
Spike TV

Story:
The first fight on Spike TV on Saturday night will feature two UFC veterans, Kendall Grove and Tim Boetsch.

After a four-fight win streak, Tim Boetsch was submitted in his most recent fight against Phil Davis at UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida.

He is a well-rounded fighter who has finished six fights by knockout, five by submission, and gone to just three decisions in his 16-fight MMA career.

Grove, having dropped three of his past five fights, is in desperate need of a victory in this contest in order to guarantee his spot on the UFC roster.

Miguel Torres vs. Demetrious Johnson

5 of 10

Fight:
Miguel Torres vs. Demetrious Johnson

Weight class:
Bantamweight

Where to Watch:
Spike TV

Story:
Former WEC Bantamweight Champion and top pound-for-pound fighter Miguel Torres may have the toughest fight of his career at UFC 130 when he faces Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson.

Since losing his title to Brian Bowles at WEC 42 in August 2009, Torres just has not looked like the same fighter that was considered by some to be the best on the planet.

Even though he is on a two-fight win streak, he is looking to turn his career back in the right direction with a big win against an up-and-coming fighter.

Johnson shocked many fans when he dominated former top fighter Kid Yamamoto in each man's Octagon debut at UFC 126 and will be looking to do the same with his second straight huge victory.

Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago

6 of 10

Fight:
Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago

Weight class:
Middleweight

Where to Watch:
Pay-Per-View

Story:
"All-American" Brian Stann became just the second man to ever knock out Chris Leben at UFC 125 in January. The other man was UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva.

Stann will be fighting the returning Jorge Santiago, who last fought in the UFC in 2006, when he dropped back-to-back fights to Chris Leben and Alan Belcher.

Santiago became the Sengoku Middleweight Champion in January 2009 and left the organization without ever losing the title.

Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story

7 of 10

Fight:
Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story

Weight class:
Welterweight

Where to Watch:
Pay-Per-View

Story:
Thiago "Pitbull" Alves is perhaps one of the most underrated fighters in the UFC. With wins over stars like Josh Koscheck, Matt Hughes and Karo Pariysan, Alves is a perennial top contender in the UFC welterweight division.

Alves' only losses in the past five years have come against the division's top two fighters, Georges St-Pierre and Jon Fitch.

On the other side of the cage, Rick Story will be looking to make it six straight UFC victories and potentially insert himself into the top-10 discussion with the biggest win of his career.

Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne

8 of 10

Fight:
Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne

Weight class:
Heavyweight

Where to Watch:
Pay-Per-View

Story:
The 6'11" Stefan Struve is the tallest man in the UFC and one of the most physically gifted athletes in the sport.

His 83" reach gives him a huge advantage against his opponents and has helped him in his most recent victories over Christian Morecraft and Sean McCorkle.

At 6'7" himself, Travis Browne is not used to being the smaller man in his fights. His 10-0-1 record has come with eight knockouts. The only flaw on his record came at UFC 120, when he fought to a draw with Cheick Kongo.

Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson

9 of 10

Fight:
Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson

Weight class:
Heavyweight

Where to Watch:
Pay-Per-View

Story:
Many believe that this fight should actually be the main event of UFC 130.

Mir, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and Interim Heavyweight Champion, is coming off of a knockout victory over Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic in the main event at UFC 119.

Though he has dropped fights to top contenders in Shane Carwin and Brock Lesnar, Mir is always a threat to win any fight.

Roy Nelson shocked many fans and experts with the way he stood and took punishment from Junior dos Santos in their fight last August.

Though he lost by unanimous decision, he became the first man to bring dos Santos to a decision and earned respect in the process.

This fight looks like it may be another heavyweight slugfest and could well steal the show.

Quinton Jackson vs. Matt Hamill

10 of 10

Fight:
Quinton Jackson vs. Matt Hamill

Weight class:
Light Heavyweight

Where to Watch:
Pay-Per-View

Story:
The original UFC 130 main event was scheduled to be the third fight in a series between UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.

Unfortunately, both fighters had to drop out of the contest due to injuries, forcing the UFC's hand in promoting Jackson vs. Hamill as the new main event.

The fight features two of the top light heavyweights in the sport, with former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson also being one of the most beloved fighters on the planet.

Jackson's opponent will be world-class wrestler and a man on a five-fight win streak, Matt Hamill. Of course, one of those wins came in a fight he was clearly losing against Jon Jones, via disqualification, but Hamill quickly made up for that fight with back-to-back victories over Keith Jardine and Tito Ortiz.

It is believed that if Jackson wins this fight, he may be given the next shot at UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. Hamill may need to win one more fight against a top contender, but he would be in the conversation with a win as well.
