What Must Denver Do to Remain Amongst the Elite?
On Sunday night the Denver Broncos lost to the Chiefs 33 to 19. With the defeat, Denver suffered their first loss on the season.
The Denver defense gave up 198 yards to Chiefs Running Back Larry Johnson. This was the reason why the Broncos couldn't get the game together.
Denver also had four turnovers in the game. A fumble after the catch by Brandon Marshall and one by Eddie Royal. The other two came from Jay Cutler who threw two interceptions.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cutler threw for 361 yards and one touchdown. Eddie Royal led the team in receiving yards with 104. Brandon Marshall caught Cutler's only touchdown.
Selvin Young rushed for 49 yards 11 carries. Michael Pittman rushed for 36 yards on four carries.
The question I have on my mind is can the Broncos stay on top of the AFC even with a terrible run defense as of late?
Denver's next three games are fairly tough. They play at home October 5th against the 3-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On October 12th at home they face the 2-2 Jacksonville Jaguars. October 20th is a Monday night game where they are on the road against the 2-1 New England Patriots. In Week Eight they have a bye.
There is no doubt that Denver has one of the best offenses in the league. Jay Cutler has the second most passing yards with 1275 behind only Drew Brees who has 1343 yards.
Here's a surprising fact: Selvin Young is the top rusher for Denver and he only has 228 yards. Through four games that is an average of 57 yards per game. Denver must give Selvin a few more touches per game to secure Jay Cutler's arm.
To sum it all up, Denver needs to lock down on the run defense. Start blitzing more often to prevent big runs from being made. Denver has a good front seven with: DE- Elvis Dumervil, DE- John Engelberger, DT Dewayne Robertson, DT Marcus Thomas, OLB D.J. Williams, MLB Nate Webster, and OLB Boss Bailey. That is a young front seven that has plenty of potential.
