Toronto Maple Leafs 2008-09 Defensive Line-up
Yesterday I wrote “Toronto Maple Leafs 2008-09 Projected Line-up.” Thiat included only the forward lines. Today I will give you the defensive lines, and look at goaltending.
Without a doubt this will be a dominant line, a fast puck-moving D-man with a hard hitting 6’ 4” partner:
Tomas Kaberle - Pavel Kubina

Could Pittsburgh Trade for Nurse? 🤔

Ranking the Best Wingers in NHL Draft 📊
These are the best two blueliners the Leafs have. Kaberle needs to shoot the puck more and start netting goals. Kubina has taken a lot of crap in the short time he has been here, but will be vital to the Maple Leafs' success this season.
Injuries have kept one of these men from having the career he should have:
Carlo Colaiacovo - Jeff Finger
If this S.O.B is getting paid $3.5M a year, he better damn well be worth it. One season in the NHL and he gets signed for three million? Finger isn’t worth one million at this point.
As long as Carlo stays healthy, he has proved he can play with the best of them. I hope he can play at least 70 games this year and stay away from unfortunate injuries.
With so many defenseman on this team, it's hard to pick only six:
Ian White - Bryan McCabe/ Whoever he is traded for
White is the only sure thing one this line. McCabe will be traded by September 2, and at this point it looks like he is going to FLA. But you never know who they will get for him.
Well, it’s not likely this will surprise you‚ but here are the goalie predictions:
Vesa Toskala
No. 1 all the way, which he proved last year. If only he had some help, the Leafds could have done something.
Curtis Joseph
Did I just say that?! CuJo is back in town, as a backup, and he has no more Cups then he had when he left—zero.
A six-year detour with no Cups on it, and now he's coming back? For his last season? To a team with no shot? What the hell is wrong with him?!
