Celtics Trade Rumors: Top Reports Surrounding Boston Before 2022 Deadline
It's been an interesting season for the Boston Celtics. They meandered shakily to a 23-24 record but have since turned a corner, rattling off a 7-1 streak since January 21.
That recent uptick in performance might just be enough to keep this roster together through Thursday's NBA trade deadline.
Still, while Boston might no longer be as keen on a move, that hasn't stopped other teams from inquiring. According to numerous reports, Celtics stars such as Marcus Smart and Dennis Schroder are getting interest from teams like the Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Smart Price Too High for Hawks and Wolves?

Boston's glue is apparently getting a lot of attention from other front offices.
Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reported that Marcus Smart is being eyed by Atlanta, while SKOR North's Darren Wolfson's sources suggest the Timberwolves are "definitely" interested as well.
Sitting at No. 10 and No. 7 in their conferences, respectively, the Hawks and Wolves have clear voids for the 27-year-old to fill as they try to make a playoff push. Unfortunately for them, though, it seems the asking price may have been raised as the No. 8 Celtics make their own run.
Tax-Conscious Celtics 'Prioritizing' Schroder Deal

Speaking of the Boston backcourt, Dennis Schroder seems to be much more expendable.
Having scored just single-digit points in seven of his last nine games, it might not be surprising that the Celtics want to move on from the 28-year-old guard's $5.9 million contract.
As Action Network's Matt Moore reported, moving Schroder is a "priority." His sources claim Boston wants to reduce its luxury tax and is weighing up offers.
At the moment, two deals are apparently under consideration: one from the No. 3 Bucks and one from the No. 2 Bulls.
In a competitive Eastern Conference, the Celtics are stuck between the rock of financial savings and the hard place of helping a potential playoff opponent.
Boston Eyeing Minnesota's Malik Beasley?
3 of 3
Jared Weiss of The Athletic reported Feb. 2 that Boston had inquired about Malik Beasley. A deal would have centered around Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford and Aaron Nesmith, which didn't tickle Minnesota's fancy.
Beasley's minutes per game have dropped this season, from 30-plus the last two years to a moderate 26 in 2021-22. The wing no longer seems as locked into the rotation as he once was, making him appear open for business.
Although the Wolves weren't enamored with the Richardson, Langford and Nesmith possibility, Wolfson noted that Minnesota could couple a first-round pick or Jaden McDaniels with Beasley to pry Smart away. That would give Boston some extra perimeter shooting, but it's unclear if the front office is still interested in moving on from Smart.
