Barcelona have no new injury problems but will be without Sergi Roberto due to suspension. The right-back was shown a straight red card in the 2-2 draw with Real Madrid on Sunday and should be replaced by Nelson Semedo.

Villarreal are still without long-term injury victim Bruno Soriano. Midfielder Javi Fuego could return after missing the wins over Celta Vigo and Valencia while Jaume Costa is available after suspension.

Barcelona head into the game on the back of a Clasico draw with Real Madrid that means they have still not tasted defeat in La Liga after 35 games.

Barcelona may have already secured a league and cup double, but the prospect of completing an unbeaten season means they still have plenty to play for.

Lionel Messi can also finish the season as the top scorer in Spain and Europe. The Argentinian leads the way in La Liga with 33 goals and also tops the European rankings, per ESPN UK:

Messi and strike partner Luis Suarez have been in prolific form in recent games and were both on target in the draw with Madrid.

The duo look hungry to finish the season on a high and could cause Villarreal all sorts of problems if they are not careful at the Camp Nou.

Villarreal Join Guard of Honour Debate

Real Madrid did not offer Barcelona a guard of honour on Sunday, but Villarreal will perform the tradition, per Javier Mata at AS.

Yet Barcelona will also need to treat Villarreal with respect as the visitors come into the game on the back of three straight wins.

Javier Calleja's side are sixth in the table and chasing qualification for next season's Europa League. They are five points ahead of Getafe, having played a game less, and are in a strong position to qualify.

However, they still have some tough fixtures to negotiate starting on Wednesday. Their final two games then take them to Deportivo La Coruna before a visit from Real Madrid.
