Commanders Punter Reacts to Fan's Funny Shirt Trolling Dak Prescott for Cowboys Playoff Struggles

A Washington Commanders fan, via his T-shirt, pointed out the fact that his team's punter, Tress Way, has more passing yards in the NFC Championship game than Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who has not been that far in the postseason.

On Friday, that shirt caught the attention of Way, who went over to the fan, signed his football and even took a picture with him prior to Washington's preseason home game against the Miami Dolphins, per Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic.

During the 2024 NFC Championship Game, Way threw a 23-yard pass to tight end Ben Sinnott on a fake punt in the first quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Commanders ended up losing 55-23 to the eventual Super Bowl champions, but Way still had his moment.

Way is, in fact, 3-for-3 for 61 yards on pass attempts (including playoffs) during his career. He completed a 31-yard pass in 2016 and a seven-yarder in 2018 on fake punts.

As far as his regular job goes, Way has been been exceptional, holding down the Commanders' punting gig for 13 years and making three Pro Bowls (including one last year) along with an All-Pro Second Team nod in 2019.
