Ross Cockrell, Panthers Agree to 2-Year, $6.8 Million Contract
Cornerback Ross Cockrell is on the move once again after agreeing to a two-year, $6.8 million deal with the Carolina Panthers, per Reign Sports Management.
The 26-year-old has already played for three teams in his four-year career.
He was drafted by the Bills in the fourth round in 2014 but was waived after making little impact in his first season. After latching on with the Steelers and becoming a starter for two years, he was dealt to the Giants last offseason.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cockrell appeared in all 16 games, starting nine, while tallying three interceptions and 50 tackles.
While he started the year further down the depth chart, Eli Apple ended up in the dog house and Janoris Jenkins' season ended early with an ankle injury. This allowed Cockrell to become a key player down the stretch as the Giants tried to keep their season afloat.
According to Ryan Smith of Pro Football Focus, he was the team's best defender in the final four weeks.
The cornerback will now take his experience to the Panthers, where he will hope to make an immediate impact in the secondary and hope for a lot more wins.
The Panthers lost to the New Orleans Saints in the playoffs last season after surrendering 376 yards to Drew Brees. They'll be hoping Cockrell can bolster the secondary to compete with the Saints' potent offense this season.
