Former UFC Champ Henry Cejudo to Fight 'Euphoria' Actor Javon Walton on Misfits Boxing Card

Former UFC champion Henry Cejudo is going to face an actor from Euphoria in his boxing debut later this month.

Per ESPN's Brett Okamoto, Javon Walton will replace Nurideen Shabazz to take on Cejudo in the main event of the Sept. 26 Misfits Boxing show in Miami.

"I knew all along that Dean The B---- would back out, and so I am not surprised," Cejudo said in a statement to Okamoto. "But I have a new opponent now, who thinks he's a fighter, but Wanna will be playing another robot by the time I'm done with him."

Walton, who turned 20 on July 22, is best known for his role as Ashtray on the first two seasons of the HBO show Euphoria. He turned pro as a boxer in 2023 after signing with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions.

In four fights as a professional, Walton has a 3-0-1 record with one win via TKO. The Sept. 26 bout will be his first appearance since defeating Anthony Mora in September 2025.

"Henry Cejudo is an Olympic gold medalist and a former UFC champion, so I know exactly the level of athlete I'm stepping in there with," Walton told Okamoto. "This fight came up out of nowhere and I stepped up without hesitation. I stay ready for moments like this. This is boxing, and this is my world."

Cejudo was originally going to challenge Shabazz, but Shabazz withdrew from the match due to an injury.

The 39-year-old Cejudo is one of 11 fighters in UFC history to hold championships in two different weight classes. He's one of four UFC fighters who was a simultaneous champion in two divisions, along with Conor McGregor, Amanda Nunes, Daniel Cormier,

Cejudo won the UFC flyweight championship from Demetrious Johnson in 2018. He captured the vacant UFC bantamweight title by defeating Marlon Moraes in 2019.

The California native vacated the flyweight title in December 2019 to focus on competing exclusively at bantamweight. He vacated the bantamweight crown in May 2020 after announcing his retirement.

After a three-year absence, Cejudo returned to mixed martial arts in May 2023 to challenge Alljamain Sterling for the UFC bantamweight championship. He lost via split decision, kicking off a string of four consecutive defeats and leading to his second retirement after a loss to Payton Talbott at UFC 323.

Cejudo's MMA career ended with a 16-6 record, including eight wins via knockout.
