Donald Penn Holding out from Raiders Training Camp Amid Contract Issues
Oakland Raiders left tackle Donald Penn did not report to training camp Friday and is considered a holdout as he seeks a raise, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport added Penn graded out as a top-10 left tackle against the league's premier pass-rushers and wants to be compensated for his efforts.

Offseason Moves for Every Team 👉
Penn, 34, signed a two-year, $14 million deal with the Raiders in March 2016 that paid out roughly $7 million guaranteed last season. According to Spotrac, Penn has a cap hit of $7.1 million in 2017 that includes a $5.8 million base salary.
That cap hit currently ranks 15th among left tackles, just ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles' Jason Peters ($6.9 million). Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams ranks first in that regard with a cap hit of $15.1 million.
A 10-year veteran, Penn appeared in all 16 games for the Silver and Black last season, and, to his point, performed like one of the league's premier blindside blockers.
En route to earning his second career Pro Bowl nod, Penn finished 2016 with a team-best run-blocking grade of 88.3, according to Pro Football Focus. That mark also ranked third among all left tackles.
So long as Penn is a no-show, fourth-round pick David Sharpe out of the University of Florida should be afforded a chance to shine early in camp as he racks up extra reps.
