Kevin Durant Rumors: Teams Not Contacting Superstar Despite Free-Agent Status
Although Kevin Durant became a free agent when the NBA moratorium period opened Saturday morning, front offices around the league reportedly haven't even reached out to his representatives since he's expected to re-sign with the Golden State Warriors.
Chris Haynes of ESPN reported rival executives view potentially contacting the reigning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player as "a waste of time."
The 28-year-old small forward is expected to wait until the Dubs complete their other offseason work before inking a new contract in late July, per ESPN's Marc Stein.

Landing Spots For NBA Free Agents ✈️
Durant signed a two-year contract with the Warriors last July, which only featured only one guaranteed year. He declined the player option to become a free agent, maximizing his earning potential.
Sam Amick of USA Today passed along comments the superstar made during his introductory press conference last summer about sticking with Golden State despite the short-term pact.
"I plan on being here," Durant said. "I don't want to go through that again."
Durant averaged 25.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 53.7 percent from the floor during his first season with the star-studded Warriors. He ranked second in the NBA in Player Efficiency Rating behind only former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook, per ESPN.com.
Ultimately, all signs point toward the Dubs remaining a dominant force heading into the 2017-18 campaign and beyond, with Durant playing a crucial role in a possible dynasty.
