Los Angeles Dodgers Set Franchise Record for Home Runs in a Series
The Los Angeles Dodgers crushed three home runs Thursday against the New York Mets to complete the four-game sweep at Dodger Stadium.
Thanks to the bats of third baseman Justin Turner and outfielders Joc Pederson and Enrique Hernandez, the Dodgers finished with a franchise-record 15 homers for a single series, per ESPN Stats & Info.
The team's biggest night at the dish came Tuesday, when they went deep five times. The club also homered four times Monday and added two more on Wednesday to reach 15.

The Dodgers have gotten a lot of production out of their young bats this season. Rookie Cody Bellinger has taken the league by storm, knocking 22 balls over the fence in 54 games to lead the National League in homers. Yasiel Puig, 26, ranks second on the team with 13 homers, with 23-year-old shortstop Corey Seager nipping at his heels with 12.
Los Angeles is about as hot as it gets in the majors right now, riding a seven-game winning streak following the four games against the Mets. The Dodgers have also won 13 of their last 14 contests, moving their record to 48-26 on the season.
Entering Friday's action, the NL West includes the league's three best records. The Dodgers hold a 1.5-game lead over both the Arizona Diamondbacks (46-27) and Colorado Rockies (47-28). They open a three-game series at home against the Rockies on Friday evening, attempting to extend their winning streak and division lead further.
