LeBron James Says He's Not Tired from Guarding Kevin Durant in NBA Finals

Adam WellsJun 7, 2017

As James pointed out, despite being matched up against Durant, he's averaging a triple-double with 28.5 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists through two games against the Golden State Warriors.ย

The problem for James is Durant is averaging 35.5 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in the NBA Finals. He's also shooting 56.3 percent overall and 50 percent from three-point range.ย

The bigger issue for the Cleveland Cavaliers is they are allowing the Warriors to score 122.5 points per game. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving shot 34.8 percent in Game 2, and Tristan Thompson has been a ghost with eight points, eight rebounds and zero blocks in the series.ย

James is doing everything in his power to help the Cavs win games, but the overall disparity of talent is skewed so far in Golden State's direction that even his best efforts have not stopped Cleveland from falling into a 2-0 hole.ย
