LeBron James Says He Doesn't Pay Attention to Media Criticism, Narratives
With the Cleveland Cavaliers in need of a rebound in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, LeBron James is not listening to the discussion around him and his team anymore.
Speaking to reporters on the eve of Sunday's Game 2, James was asked about his lackluster showing in the Cavs' 113-91 loss in Game 1.
"I really don't hear the noise. I couldn't really care less. It really doesn't matter to me," he said, per ESPN's Brian Windhorst. "The narrative and people writing articles and things like that, I don't care. Those things doesn't bother me. So it's hard for me to even tell my teammates, hey, don't listen to it, because I don't even get involved in it."

James added he "stopped caring a long time ago" about what was being said and written about him.
Criticism is nothing new to James, though he seemed to put a final exclamation point on the matter after leading the Cavs to an NBA championship last year in an Instagram post:
The 32-year-old James has already accomplished more in his NBA career than most players could ever dream of. He's won four MVP awards, three NBA titles and three NBA Finals MVPs, and he has been named to the All-NBA first team 11 times.
James did struggle in Game 1 against the Warriors with eight turnovers, offsetting his 28 points and 15 rebounds. He's not impervious to mistakes, but there have been a lot more good days than bad throughout his legendary career.
